Best Diamond Deal in Austin 11/25/2006

Calvin's has a great selection of diamonds and will get whatever you like in based on your expectations. Which I really enjoyed so that I did not have to worry about a sales person trying to sale you what they want not what you want. I will recommend all of my friends to Calvins. more

calvin's is great because they take care of all of my jewelry needs. they replace my watch batteries free of charge, they repair my jewelry free of charge and my ring cleanings are always done for free. i tell all my friends about them and encourage them all to shop with calvin's. i have never heard one complaint! Pros: great customer service, super friendly staff, great selection more

Best Selection and Staff In Austin!!! 11/24/2006

The staff at Calvins was so polite and helpful, I will never shop at another jewelry store. I was excited to shop in such a relaxed atmosphere, they even provided mimosas and entertainment with the state of the art HDTV. Every single one of the sales asscociates was professional and knowledgeable. more

Best Atmosphere 11/22/2006

My first experience at Calvin's was fantastic, I enjoyed my self looking at all the beautiful fashion jewelry and bridal. I recommend that everybody that is shopping for jewelry make their first stop at Calvins so that they do not have to waste their time at other jewelry stores. more

ONE stop shopping 11/22/2006

My fiancee, Doug, and i needed a ring. I knew exactly what i wanted and was afraid that I was not going to be able to find it already made. I just knew I was going to have to make a custom piece. We decided to go to Calvin's Jewelers first because we had heard so many good things from people we had asked. We walked into the door and began brousing. No one hounded us or made us feel like we was being ""sold."" I look in one case, a second case, and in the third... there sat the EXACT ring I wanted. We purchased the ring that day. We walked out extremely satisfied customers. Never did I think that it would be such an easy experience to buy an engagement ring. Calvin's Fine Jewelry... you're my hero. Best Selection 11/18/2006

Best selection and prices!!!!! I have been in several different Jewelry stores in Austin and Calvin's by far has the best selection and friendliest staff in town. There is a Graduate Gemologist on staff and Calvin himself sets the diamonds and also if you looking to do custom Katherine is very patient and professional. Pros: hot staff!!! more

Awesome Experience 6/3/2006

Several years ago I lost my wedding band on a family vacation. We researched jewelers in the Austin area and all seemed to carry pieces that were dated or ordinary. I was getting discouraged. We had several people recommend Calvins to us so we decided to give them a try. I was very impressed with the fine selection of beautiful tasteful (and unique) rings and other jewelry and the assortment of price points. The staff was very knowlegable and helpful without being pushy. Long story short, I absolutely LOVE my new ring which is unique and special. I get compliments everywhere I go. I've sent many people to Calvins over the years and recently my dear sweet husband came home with that familiar Calvin's maroon box which contained a gorgeous pair of earrings for our anniversary. What service! 2/14/2006

I bought both a engagement setting, diamond, and a diamond bracelet in 2000. My wife wears the bracelet daily and has lost a diamond in 2002, broke the clasp in 2004, and recently broke another clasp. As I said, she never takes it off! Calvin has replaced the diamond and fixed the clasp twice at no charge. His customer service is the best. THat is why I will buy from him and the saleperson Kathy in the future. Fabulous Custom Work 4/9/2004

The staff at Calvins did a wonderful job in assisting us with designing and creating a one-of-a-kind engagement ring and matching wedding band. If you are looking for something out of the ordinary, want to avoid buying a cookie-cutter ring, or have a ring idea of your own, go to Calvins. Although all of the staff members were helpful and polite, Katherine went out of her way to locate the elusive gemstone I wanted and took us through the whole process with professionalism. (Note: many existing pieces in Calvins seem overpriced--esp. the Michael B.--so if you are not going custom, this may not be the most bang-for-your-buck place; however, if you are going custom or money is not your top concern, Calvins is THE Austin choice.) One word to describe Calvin's: AWESOME 7/11/2003

We got my wedding jewlery at Calvin's and they are the best in customer service, quality and experience. When we were shopping around, we found that other places did not pay as much attention to us and tried to sell me on a style of diamond that I was not interested in. Calvin's had the style and size I wanted for my e-ring. Even though I have had my e-ring for over a year now, I go back to Calvin's to clean my e-ring and wedding band. Calvin himself usually cleans my ring and has always been very nice to me. The staff have told me to get my rings cleaned at least every 6 weeks. I have had so many compliments on both rings and I am totally impressed with their work and friendliness. Thank you Calvin's for having the rings of my dreams!! Pushy & Rude 2/19/2003

I'm in college and looking for an engagement ring. I was hoping to find someone who would help me. The salesperson I spoke with was very pushy and not the least bit helpful. I went back 2 or 3 times for the benefit of my girlfriend, but each time was pressured by the sales staff. They would not show me a setting less than $1k. When I mentioned buying a certified diamond over the internet, they resorted to scare tactics. The upside is that they do have nice settings from top designers and they will show you a spreadsheet of diamonds to choose from with little price markup. I imagine if convenience is more important to you than price, it's not a bad place to go. Ultimately I found a jeweler in Michigan who had the setting I was interested in and would deal squarely with me. Pros: Selection, Designers, Diamond Pricing Cons: Pushy Salespeople, Expensive settings more

Beautiful but pricey 2/10/2003

Of all the places I've looked, Calvin's had one of the best selections of ring settings I've seen. However, I ended up finding one nearly identical at another shop for half of the price (leaving more $$ to spend on the stone)! I also didn't feel as comfortable with the staff as I have at other shops. Pros: Good selection, Beautiful pieces Cons: Cramped showroom, Slightly expensive more

I stopped in Calvin's on a busy Saturday afternoon for some repair work. Calvin would not hear of me leaving my ring, but insisted on repairing it immediately. Rarely have I had service like that, and certainly not at any other jeweler here in town that I've visited. Many thanks and I highly recommend Calvin's for the pleasant service and atmosphere. more

I SHOPPED AT CALVIN'S RECENTLY FOR MY GIRLFRIEND'S RING, AND I HAVE NEVER HAD SUCH A GREAT SHOPPING EXPERIENCE! THE ENTIRE STAFF WAS SO HELPFUL AND EVERYONE HAS SUCH A GREAT SENSE OF HUMOR-IT WAS A REALLY FUN AFTERNOON. My fiance had no idea when it came to buying my diamond, but found all the help he needed at Calvin's. He said that the staff was really helpful and that he actually learned a lot just talking with them. Now I have a beautiful ring and a guy who knows where to buy exceptional jewelry. They also changed his watch battery for free...go figure! Pros: beatiful jewelry, friendly staff, good value more
