We bought my engagement ring at Calvins 7 years ago. Since then I have lost weight (yippe). They resized my ring for free. They clean and check my diamonds for free any time I drop in. I wouldn't buy any other jewelry at any other store. Calvins is the one your looking for. They provide the excellent service AFTER you buy there. My husband bought my engagement ring here about seven years ago and we were so pleased with everything about Calvin's that we went back for our wedding rings. I go in frequently for cleanings and to have the diamond setting tightened; they are always very friendly and there is never a long wait. There is a tiny ruby on the side of my engagement ring (signature of the artist), which came loose and was lost one time. They replaced it with no cost to me. I would highly recommend this jewelry store to anyone. more

Angela and Sandy ensured that my platinum engagement ring and wedding band were exactly what I wanted. One part of the set was a special order and was completed in less than two weeks. Express delivery was quick, convenient, and free of charge. This set was an upgrade from my original, and I just had the solitare set here at home during Valentine's Day weekend. I had several diamonds in storage for years. Since I am fairly new to Austin, I asked friends and looked on line for the best jeweler in Austin who could help me design a ring. I found many great comments about Calvin's and began a chat with Shelby. I decided to visit her and I'm so glad I did. She was so talented in helping me create the perfect design for the stones I had. Shelby treated my diamonds as if they were my children; with love and care. I just picked my ring up today and was almost in tears. The ring was amazing! Calvin's staff was also amazing. Very friendly and never pretentious. This was my first visit to Calvin's, after having scoured most of the other fine jewelry stores in town searching for a really special ring for our anniversary. I wasn't exactly sure what I was looking for, but trusted that I would know it when I saw it. Although some of the other stores had beautiful anniversary rings, nothing was quite ""the one."" I decided to try Calvin's, even though I assumed (mistakenly) that they'd mainly have engagement rings. I was impressed by the selection of jewelry, much of which I had not seen anywhere else, but I pretty much limited my viewing to anniversary and right-hand rings. After explaining to Lindsey that I didn't want a true anniversary band (stones all the way around) and that I wanted something ""everyday bling-y"" -- impressive but very wearable -- she showed me some options. All the options we looked at were beautiful, but one was different from the others -- not the style I thought I was looking for, but gorgeous. Later that night as I was picturing all the rings I had looked at in all the stores I visited, I realized that the one I kept thinking about and getting excited about was the ""different"" one at Calvin's. The next day I called Lindsey and had her hold it, took my husband in to see it, and knew it was the one. Calvin had it sized and on my finger two hours later. Now that's great personal customer service. (They also have a very charismatic giant poodle who's so sweet -- I want to go back just to see the dog, and I'm not even a dog person.) I was looking around for the perfect engagement ring for my girlfriend. I had the basic design in mind and just needed some help turning it into reality. After shopping online, and at several ""chain"" jewelry stores, I set off to Calvins. I knew of Calvin through a mutual freind but had never been to his store. From the second I walked in the door I knew I had made the right decision. I was greeted by Kathryn and immediately we were looking at diamonds. We both figured out that I really had no idea what I wanted, nor what my girlfriend really wanted. We decided I'd buy the stone, set it in a simple setting, propose, then come back with my finace' and get the ring of her dreams. And that is exactly what we got. WOW! There isn't a person that sees her ring without commenting on how unique and absolutely perfect it is. I see the look of satisfaction in my fiances' eyes everytime she looks at the ring. That is all I could ever ask for. With such a big decision, and not to mention cost, why would anyone take the chance of getting the wrong ring. This was my first experience purchasing fine jewelry, and I was, admittedly, a bit intimidated. However, from the moment I set foot in the store I felt completely relaxed. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, and the staff was professional, knowledgeable, and extremely accommodating. As I sat there listening to the staff and other patrons chatting and laughing, I sipped my mimosa while Katherine (sp?) gift wrapped the spectacular ring that Laura and Angela helped me pick out. Then this giant poof of soft, black fur trotted up and kissed my hand; I think it was Calvin's dog. The store was as comfortable as sitting in my living room, with one small difference-- I was surrounded by cases of GORGEOUS jewelry. I loved it so much that Laura and I have already picked out my wedding ring, and I'm not even engaged yet! Needless to say, I was very pleased with my Calvin's experience. more

I just recently purchased my engagement ring, and really enjoyed the attention and care that Calvin's staff gave me. I am one to take my time in making a decision to make sure I am happy with my decision, and am sensitive of being 'pushed' to make a decision. There are many words I cannot describe about the store and lovely people who work there. I would say that the store is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! I went by Krueger's... I'd choose Calvin's over Kruger's. (sorry, Krueger) I walked out the store very happy and satisfied! Sandy Chapa is super sweet and will make sure you are happy and satisfied. Very patient and will work with you seriously until you find what you want. She helped me pick a very beautiful wedding ring that was within our budget. My husband and I could not find a ring anywhere we liked and we were getting married the next day! We were in a hurry! Until I found out about that store by a website. Sandy Chapa and my husband spoke on the phone earlier before I stopped by. She knew our situation that we were trying to find a perfect wedding at the last minute. She showed me several rings from the display... they were so many beautiful rings and I could not decide.... Sandy was the one who helped me with the decision to find a perfect wedding set ring for me. However, the rings were too small for me... and they told me it'd be ready within two hours.. resize and put in our new center stone... all done in 2 hours! Wow...
