I USED TO GO TO THE ORIGINAL EL MATADOR IN OGDEN. ON THE WEST SIDE OF OGDEN AVE. Thought I would try the Bountiful local. They made me wait to be seated there were a lot of emp...

We love El Matador! 11/10/2006

My husband and I recently stopped by for lunch. Our waitress was absolutely the best we have come across..at any restaurant. We too knew and frequented El Matador at their old location as well as the one in Ogden. I thought our lunch was as good as it has always been..we will be back! Pros: Great waitress, great food. more

All around good shop 10/19/2006

Well I don't really have anything bad to say about the shop. I have stopped taking my car to the dealership (stealership) as this place has people who can do just about everything and they do it well. The best thing is that there is a nice big sign on the door to the bay that says ""Customer's Welcome"". \r \r Alignments:\r Just over a year ago I needed an alignment in a hurry before leaving on a trip for a wedding. Their alignment guy, Tom, was very thorough and was willing to explain to me what he was doing and why, and I have been going back ever since. \r \r Oil Changes:\r Unlike the stealership, these people are actually willing to torque the oil plug to the specification value as opposed to just wrenching it down as hard as they can. I found that the stealership had done so on the oil change that I was going to stop going to them for and start doing my own oil changes and I could not get it off. Even the mechanic that was working on it was as dismayed as I was at how tight it was. They do it for so cheap, since I give them a high dollar filter and oil that I bring, that I have decided to just take my SRT-4 to them instead of doing it myself.\r \r Further Notes: Oh, I almost forgot. At the stealership, I was trying to get someone to diagnose an odd pull while driving and the service manager used terms I wasn't familiar with to get me to agree to a $300 bill, but when I got the bill he just installed a camber bolt (clearly stated). I called up Tom and he said he could have got it and installed it for $115. \r \r Conclusion: I can't attest to the rest of the stores, but this one has great service and very reasonable prices. These people have earned my loyalty and continue to prove to me why they deserve it. Pros: Customer's Welcome in maintanence bay, Good Service, No BSing Cons: Sometimes hard to turn left from the parking lot when leaving in the morning due to traffic more

Avoid Swis like the plauge 3/3/2006

They quoted 3 days; well it turned out to be nearly 2 weeks. 1 month later my car started running rough, so I had a different shop look at it, I found out that Swis should not have repaired the engine because the block was warped beyond the manufacturer specifications. Swis originally charged $1559 however to repair the auto correctly cost ended up costing $5000. And I didn?t come away from the other shop with oil leaks as I did when leaving Swis. When the issues were brought up with Swis they were unwilling to work with us and denied any wrong doing. PROS: They were freindly CONS: I don?t feel that they did a thorough job more

Excellent Indian Restaurant 12/30/2005

When you've got a craving for Indian food in the Twin Cities, this is the best place I've found! Waiters are very attentive. Water glasses are never empty and food tends to arrive quickly. I recommend going in for dinner. They give you a choice of the spice of your food which is excellent for taking someone new to Indian food. The restaurant itself is tucked just off 394 and may not be easy to find - but certainly worth the find with spacious dining space and lots of windows. The lunch buffet is usually pretty good, but if you're a picky eater like myself, you may want to be able to have more choice. Pros: Good Food, Excellent Service, Nice Atmosphere Cons: Buffet - Hit or Miss more

Honest Car Service 7/29/2005

If you want oil change, tire rotation then go here. No reservation. Walk ins. Friendly service. Knowledgeable staff. Willing to work with you. They listen to want you say and not make you look stupid. If you are a female with car questions then go to the swis. PROS: friendly, helpful CONS: it is hard to get through on the phone. more

Thanks Rosa 5/15/2005

Thanks Rosa for making me hair-free. She's the best. Now I'm as smooth as the day I was born. No pain-but lots to gain! A smooth, hairless body that's as smooth as velvet. Pros: Super Professional, Great Energy, Painless more

Very average food...and pricey! 9/25/2004

The lunch buffet was very average for what they charge. $9 for a buffet where there was plenty of choice, but lack of flavor. Go somewhere else. Cons: , No Value more

It's Hot Dogs! 7/29/2004

Local folks (""Altoids"") are fanatical about this place that serves (you guessed it) mostly hot dogs. They'll drive by the best restaurants and bar/grills to get there. HEY! People! Get over it.....they're hot dogs! (and not even great hot dogs at that!). Almost everything on the menu is deep-fried (a favorite of many locals not known for their ""healthy choices"" eating habits). Still....as ""greasy spoons"" go....this one is at least clean and friendly! Pros: fast service, cheap more

Lawlers BBQ 5/11/2004

While only a take out, this BBQ pork is great. Sides are also outstanding. I haven't tried the ribs yet, but that's next. more

Pleasant 10/3/2003

Went there for dinner with a friend. service was fast and polite, quite a popular place, certainly the bustle added to the atmosphere. We ordered the garlic naan bread and the beef samosa to begin. The naan arrived hot and moist, but could have been more tastier. The samosa was a little too dry I think, but the sauses for dipping were excellent. For dinner, we had the tandoori chicken and the beef curry. the tandoori arrived on a sizzling plate above a bed of onions. Beautiful, but again, not as tasty as I would have liked it. The curry was 'moderate', which was too mild for me. Otherwise, tasty enough. To top it off, indian tea, which was tea with a hint of cinnamon. Quite delightful. Overall, dinner for 2 came to $26. Overall, a nice place to eat, but not among the top. Pros: ambience, service, parking Cons: small dishes more

nice and spicy 5/20/2003

Great Indian food and beers. They whip up some tasty curries that will have you begging for something yogurt based. I tried only ""American hot"" dishes and they were spicy. Can't imgaine what the ""Indian hot"" ones are like. The breads are excellent with their sweet but spicy dipping sauces. Along with cheap appetizers that are excellent.. Diffinitely a place to check out. more
