I decided to try Bakehouse after reading the positive reviews, and the prices seemed fair on their website. Their actual menu prices were slightly higher, but not unreasonable. The atmosphere is dark and feels old. However, the prices didn't seem expensive until we started eating. His hamburger was very bland, and my beef wellington was mediocre. My rice tasted like burnt butter. The horseradish sauce for the fries wasn't bad, but I didn't like any of the other food. Not a terrible experience, but not worth the drive in my opinion. I prefer Hyde Park Grill for the same type of food in this price range ($20-30 for 2).
Pros: Not crowded
Cons: Mediocre food
