We chose Apres Diem for a late night birthday dinner, a party of 5, when we arrived we had to wait a few minutes for a table, which was not a problem, so two of us went to the bar...

Happily out of place 5/20/2002

Apres Diem manages to escape the dangers of locating in a strip mall. Even the outside patio, with a clear view of Midtown 8 Theater and the nearby shops has a bit of magic to it. Inside, the dark wood decor breathes sensuality into the happily hip patron's coy demeanors. The drinks and desserts all have that extra sparkle, making Apres Diem the perfect place for intimate conversation. more

A Personal Top Five 5/15/2002

This is one of my happy places. I love coming here for brunch with friends. Sitting at an outdoor table with bagel and lox and a great cup of coffee, not feeling rushed to leaveits one of the best ways to spend a Saturday morning. But evenings are just as fun, when the crowd and music liven it up. If youre seeing a movie at Midtown 8, I suggest getting your ticket ahead of time and grabbing dinner or dessert here.
