Review content:
I'm a business owner in a service oriented industry and building customer relationships is priority AND the product that I sell should be up to par. I don't feel I got that from this company.
I was looking for a home to rent while my home was on the market so I found a home at a good price listed by this agency on craigslist.
Positives first:
The home looks good on the OUTSIDE.
The person I was dealing with got back to me quickly via email.
Negatives:
1. The email he sent stated for me to come by the next morning at a certain time without giving me time to respond. That's a negative. You should always make arrangements with your prospective renter first. Of if you will have an open house, make sure you state that on your ad.
2. When I did show up at another time that was agreed, he did not formally greet me or tell me his name.
That's a BIG negative. Whether you are renting an apartment or a house, you always greet your customers. If another prospective tenant was there at the same time as me and I would have seen him greet them and not me, I could have easily filed a discrimination lawsuit.
3. When we walked in the house, all the appliances were ripped out, the carpet a mess and an odor permeated through the house. When you rent a house, make sure you make all the repairs first BEFORE you list it and if you don't , make sure you list that on your advertisement.
4. When he asked me when my move out date was and I told him it was about over a month out, he mentioned that he wished I would have told him that so he wouldn't have wasted my time coming out. But to me, the tone of his voice suggested he was more annoyed that I wasted his time. That is a big NO-NO. Regardless of what my move out date was, he should still treat me the same as he would any other tenant that would be moving sooner.
Overall, my first impression of this property management company is not good. They need to improve their service skills and their product skills.
