I had high hopes for CVC. Since they moved to a new location, I had heard good things. Our building recently became infested with fleas, so I needed to take my three male cats for flea treatment, bathing, etc. The moment I entered CVC, the front desk workers were nice though seemed disinterested in anything I had to say. The larger lady at the counter was too busy surfing the Internet at 8 am to acknowledge my questions. Though I was a little concerned, I still had faith that the experience was going to go well as I did not even need an appointment to drop off the cats. Called to check on them a few hours later and was assured everything went fine. Upon pick-up, I noticed not all of the nails were clipped and one of my cats was behaving abnormally. I had signed documents stating I did not want my animals sedated, though the veterinarian suggested he ""may be coming off of sedation."" This was upsetting, and I was now confused as to if my animals had been sedated. Enter another unfriendly vet tech who held my elderly cat's carrier like a handbag asked me, ""is this your carrier?"" She couldn't have been more insensitive or careless in her handling of my 13 year old cat. I wasn't even sure if the cat was inside the carrier until I saw my cat inside the carrier. When I asked about the nail clipping and informed the front desk attendant I was told the SoftPaws were to be removed, she stated ""We weren't here this morning when you dropped them off."" What kind of customer service is THAT? She again stated this when I asked where my two white towels and shirt were that didn't accompany my cats and carriers. They had already laundered my belongings and were going to keep them. Took 10 minutes to get my stuff back and they seemed extremely put off that I wanted my belongings back. So, let's re-cap. CVC: - may have sedated my animals without my knowledge - failed to complete nail trimming on all of my cats - failed to accept any responsibility for my belongings (""we weren't here when you dropped the cats off"") - handled my elderly cat in a careless manner - failed to accept any responsibility for lack of nail trimming (""we weren't here when you dropped the cats off"") While Dr. Pandya seemed nice, he obviously is out of the loop when it comes to the animals as he thought my cats were sedated. Let's hope they weren't, since I explicitly stated and signed documents preventing that from happening. Not pleased at all. Very disappointing, CVC.
