I am a huge fan of the Minneapolis Institute of Art (I call it the "MIA" for short). They exhibits are really great, and it is free EVERY DAY!! The weekends there aren't too busy, and they have one Sunday a month with family activities.
My favorite thing about the museum is there is something for everyone. I am a total dunce with art, so I love their free tours. All the docents are knoledgable and will tailor the tour to there audience (Larry is my favorite!)
