We called The Granite Place after a large box hardware store who we had planned to order from had told us the order was going to take 5-6 weeks. With The Granite Place we had our counter templated and installed within five business days.
Artie was sent to our house for both visits. We found him to be highly knowledgeable in all matters having to do with stone surfaces. Our project was a challenge since we live in an older home that is not very plumb and has walls with unusual lines that required extra cuts to make everything fit.
We were very pleased with the price, but having dealt with other companies we feared The Granite Place would use tricks other companies use to boost the price such as charging twice for stone used in corners where a diagonal cut would be used or charging for the unused stone from a second slab. That did not happen. We were delighted that the cuts for the sink and the edging were also included in our low square foot price.
Our new counter looks beautiful and we are pleased that for slightly over 20 linear feet of counter we only have one seam that is hardly noticeable at all. Based on our experience I will be telling friends to order from The Granite Place.
