That Granite Place

Our granite is beautiful and was installed fast. I've had to have the installers out three times because a seem kept cracking. This was NOT That Granite Places fault and they help diagnose the problem (cabinets were not installed correctly!!) and have come out to our house at no cost to help us fix the issue. I cannot say enough about how helpful they have been and would HIGHLY recommend them, and have, to anyone I know who is in the market for beautiful countertops! more

Customer service is atrocious. They will not call you if they are running late or not going to be able to show up on the scheduled date. The template was not done precisely and they had to cut into our sheetrock to get the granite to fit. No attention was paid to the single seam in the entire kitchen. It was placed in the most obvious area and the coloring of 2 side by side pieces are like night and day. Over a month later we are still waiting to be contacted as a follow up to our dissatisfaction. If you are planning on making a large investment - look elsewhere. more

One person never knows the answers to your questions there. They always have to ask someone else and get back with you. Poorly trained installers and overall just not customer friendly after the papers are signed. There are better places to spend your money. more

We called The Granite Place after a large box hardware store who we had planned to order from had told us the order was going to take 5-6 weeks. With The Granite Place we had our counter templated and installed within five business days. Artie was sent to our house for both visits. We found him to be highly knowledgeable in all matters having to do with stone surfaces. Our project was a challenge since we live in an older home that is not very plumb and has walls with unusual lines that required extra cuts to make everything fit. We were very pleased with the price, but having dealt with other companies we feared The Granite Place would use tricks other companies use to boost the price such as charging twice for stone used in corners where a diagonal cut would be used or charging for the unused stone from a second slab. That did not happen. We were delighted that the cuts for the sink and the edging were also included in our low square foot price. Our new counter looks beautiful and we are pleased that for slightly over 20 linear feet of counter we only have one seam that is hardly noticeable at all. Based on our experience I will be telling friends to order from The Granite Place. more
