The Ugly Mug is probably one of the best coffee shops in Washtenaw County. They normally pull their espresso as ristrettos, and they also do latte art for their milk drinks. I drive 20-30 minutes to get espresso there on a regular basis.
The shop also has a very interesting hipster sort of feel to it. It used to be very smoky, but they now have a non-smoking section also.
