I had my first routine dental exam in several years with Dr. Yam today based on a recommendation from a coworker.\r
The entire experience was great. The staff was friendly and answered all the questions I had. I met Dr. Yam initially, who explained the what the visit would consist oft. He was very approachable and professional. I was given x-rays and a routine cleaning by the hygienist. She was very thorough without being rough, commended me on my flossing, and explained to me some changes I should to make for better oral hygiene. I was able to watch soothing videos on the TV about the dental chair, which I definitely appreciated. Dr. Yam came back in shortly, the wait time was not long at all. He went through my x-rays with me in detail, which I have never experienced at a dentist. He also made some suggestions about getting retainers fitted to help protect my teeth.
