I'm female and have always felt welcome at Glen Lakes. I agree the mats aren't the best for practice surfaces but it's sure nice when it's hot and the misters are on. The distances are female friendly and the staff has always been welcoming to me. Dave Swartz, the pro, always includes me in the the monthly tournaments. The guys that I have been paired up with have always been fun! I think if you have had a disappointing time give it another try but wait until the winter grass is in. Its a good place to work on your short game and a good value! Try one of the monthly pro tournaments you will have a good time!
