I have recently moved to Vancouver from Portland, and was quite disappointed in the lack of culture on the northside of the Columbia Rive. That is, until I found Oishi. The rolls are simple, fresh, and perfect, the owner and waitstaff are extremely friendly, and the price is well suited to the quality. I've gone almost 3 times a week for the last 6 months, and I never tire of it. Have a sushi roll that you'd like to create, but it's not on the menu?-- No problem, just ask.
Pros: Yes and yes. Small place, great sushi, not overcrowded.
Cons: The outside ambience isn't perfect with the location in a strip mall.
