After looking forward to eating here for months, it was a major disappointment, particularly where the service was concerned. We arrived for lunch with the restaurant nearly empty, but were seated in a front window literally elbow to elbow with another diner. The hostess disappeared immediately so we moved to another table on our own. The seafood tempura plate was okay, but the fish was tasteless and the batter still sort of gummy inside. The plate included caesar salad dressing in a cup--instead of tartar sauce, maybe? The waitress forgot the caesar salad that went with it, saying she didn't usually serve lunch, but did bring it about 10 minutes after we had the main course. Coffee refills were minimal. She brought the check not even midway into lunch without even asking if we wanted dessert. Is this not a restaurant known for its desserts? And after putting my credit card in the folder, it remained on the table after we finished eating, our plates also still sitting in front of us, until I took it up to the cashier, where we again waited for several minutes for a cashier to come over to the counter. After reading numerous reviews about the great food and even better service, my experience was severely lacking. Having been a waitress in years past, I definitely understand when things go wrong, but this was just plain overall poor service from start to finish. I love my desserts, all kinds of desserts, but I couldn't even muster enough enthusiasm to buy a brownie or pastry to go. Won't bother to go back.
Pros: Looks cute. Bakery counter looked very good.
Cons: Poor service. Very noisy.
