I saw Jessica yesterday afternoon for a haircut and it went well. Jessica was very quiet and didn't seem to like talking so if you are a talker when you get your hair cut you might want to pick a different stylist. I brought with me some ideas of what I wanted to do with my hair but Jessica seemed a little reluctant to offer me her opinion. What I got didn't turn out quite the way I expected but I think I might like it anyway. I don't like how she styled it (too straight - no volume), but I can tell that it is a quality cut and I think that after I get done styling it my way it will look good. I'm not a very tactile person so the scalp and hand massage didn't do much for me but if you like that kind of thing it's a nice touch. I really liked the guy who worked at the desk. He was very friendly and talked with me for a bit about the book I was reading. The layout of the place seems kind of random and odd at first but as I was there longer, I realized that it brings a certain privacy to the place. The chairs are fairly far apart so your stylist can't spend all his/her time talking to the person next you (which has happened to me at other salons). The music seemed a bit loud to me, but once again it contributed to your privacy as you couldn't hear what was going on at the other chairs. I paid $55 for my cut which I believe is pretty average for the area. I wasn't pressured to buy any products at all. She just asked me if I had any questions about them. All in all, I think it was a good experience and I might go back but I think I'll try a different stylist.
Pros: professional cut, privacy
Cons: stylist was not personable
