What a surprise this place was! Contrary to other reviews, I found the staff friendly and knowledgeable. The service was impeccable but not intrusive.
Cheese Lovers: There's a cheese menu and a cheese ""guru"" who happily came to our table and offered solid reccommendations. I had a bowl of crab soup (can't recall the exact name) and it was simply great. The baked oysters-- served au gratin style--was one of the best dishes I've ever had, anywhere, period. The wine list was awesome and offered several quality middle or lower-priced choices. The desert selection was also incredible and our server said each item was made from scratch by the chef that day. We tried two and I believe him.
In my opinion this is one of Seattle's best restaurants, and a perfect addition to the market area. Even if you are in doubt, check it out.
