We've been to the Black Goose a few times, for various types of evening. For after work drinks, the place has a very good selection of drinks and cocktails and the bar staff are friendly. The interior is well appointed, yet the TV screens at each end of the bar make for an informal atmosphere.
At the weekend the place is far livlier, and the patio makes for a nice outdoor experience, although it's pretty small.
The Goose is just across from Darien train station, so it's easy to get to if you want to leave the car at home, or there is loads of free parking around back, or more limited availability right on the Post Road itself.
We definitely recommend the place.
