The setting I bought from Joseph at Whitefire was exactly what I had looked everywhere to find. The only problem was that it didn't appear to come in the finish that I needed. No problem for the folks at Whitefire- they ordered the setting and put the satin finish I was looking for on the ring themselves. It ended up perfect! In late spring my son in law brought back a number of rubies from Afghanistan. I was thrilled to receive two large stones, one for a ring and one for a drop, as well as two smaller stones for earrings. The rubies were not extremely high quality, just a beautiful color and it was great to have been remembered by my son-in-law. I took the stones to White Fire Jewelry, they appraised the stones, then advised me as to the unique design of a custom ring. The end result was truly beautiful. I had no idea that Joseph could make a "average" ruby look like a million dollar ring even Elizabeth Taylor would cherish! I hope Joseph will post a picture of the ring on his web site, it is truly amazing and everyone who sees it is was impressed with his work. He created a stunning engagement ring for me after my original set was stolen. He worked extremely hard to ensure he found a center stone that met my criteria within my budget. My fiance and I went to local jewelry stores like typical couples in the market for a special diamond ring. We weren't really blown away by anything we saw at those places - especially the prices. From a simple web search, we found Whitefire and decided to give it a try. She and I went to Whitefire only knowing what we had learned from hard-core mall-type jewelry salespersons, so we went in a little blind. Once there, we had a one-on-one consultation with Joseph that not only educated us on what we were looking for but proved to be an excellent display of diamonds and available mountings at very good prices (It's difficult to compare diamonds, but for the quality and mountings available, I'd estimate a 15-20% savings). It was evident that Joseph's business plan is to be courteous and aware of the customers needs and wants without the pressure sales tactics used elsewhere. We found something that fit all our specifications, including price, at the very first meeting, and we've been enjoying the ring ever since! My fiance bought the diamond for my engagement ring from Joseph at WhiteFire Diamond after a friend who had used Joseph for his fiance's ring recommended him to us. We actually live in Dallas, and after talking to several Dallas jewelers, my fiance called Joseph just to get a price comparison. It ended up that Joseph was able to get him a better diamond at a lower price. Joseph then sent the diamond to a jeweler in Dallas where the ring was set. According to my fiance, everything with the diamond transfer and the payment went really smoothly. Best of all, Joseph and my fiance did everything without me finding out, so the engagement and the beautiful ring was a huge suprise. True to his word, Joseph sent the diamond certificate and the invoice to our house after my fiance proposed. I couldn't imagine a more perfect ring. It is beautiful.
