Veracom Ford 9/9/2010

I bought a 2004 Volvo XC90 with 38k miles in April 2009. I drove over 6 hours to get there and when I made it, the saleman was no where to be found and the vehicle that I came to look at had a dead battery. That should have been my first clue not to deal with these people but I ended up buying the car, whose transmission went out 2 months after I bought it! (thankfully I bought the extra warranty) Now after a year and a half I get in the mail a bill saying that I owe them $182. I would not recommend this dealership to anyone!!! more

AVOID, STAY AWAY, they have a great scam going! SO I purchased a used Mercedes Benz from them and since it's a high end car i checked into getting the extended warranty. I figured I'd go all in and purchase the best package---platinum or some other such thing for an additional $5000! No Problem! Anytime you need anything done just take it into a shop and show them your receipt , that you have purchased insurance through Mercury insurance. All sounds fine. A year later I take it in to get a service, the shop calls Mercury and we find out the policy was CANCELLED 3 weeks after I purchased it because my car didn't qualify. So Veracom has been sitting on my $5000 for a year hoping time would run out o the policy and I'd be none the wiser...and they made a SWEET ASS commission off me with the car AND $5000 of insurance i paid for but never had! When I found out i called them that day and talked to a girl called Risa who said she just started, I asked to talked to a manager 4 seperate times more

Great Service - Great Car 6/4/2009

I was looking for a new car and went to Veracom Mitsubishi / Veracom Ford to check out some of the cars there. The salesman helped me find the right vehicle in my price range. I was looking for something sporty, yet roomy. While I was drooling over the Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution, I ended up getting a Mitsubishi Lancer Ralliart, a lesser known but sporty car. It had exactly what I wanted in a car and great for my commute (GREAT MPG) and also for my trips to/from Los Angeles. \r \r I regularly bring in my car for service and they remember me, and what I like, even buying me Starbucks! They have a great team there, and worked out a great deal for me and still work out discounts every time I go in for service. I am very happy with Veracom, and once I am ready to buy another car I will be heading back over there.. I have also recommended them to a few people who have ALSO bought new and used vehicles from there. more

The worst customer service of any dealership I have dealt with. 5/26/2007

I bought a 1999 Mercedes from Veracom Ford at the end of Oct 2006. I traded in a car that was still being financed and it took Veracom almost a month and a half to pay off the trade in, I was stuck making 2 car payments and lost $150.00 in interest fees on my old loan because Veracom did not pay it off in the time (2 weeks)as promised. I called their finance manager several times and each time he would not answer the phone and I left not only voice mail, but a message with the receptionist as well. When I finally reached him he told me he never got the messages, to that I say he is a liar. I finally had to leave a voice message with the owner threatening to take him to court and report him to the district attorney, this finally got them moving.\r Now I have problems with the DMV because Veracom has failed to submit the paper work and fees on the car I purchased from them. I talked to their person that takes care of the DMV paperwork and she told me they had mistakenly not sent in the more

Bad Experience at Service Department at Veracom San Mateo 1/24/2007

I have a 2002 Ford Taurus -- some would suggest that this alone manifests my poor judgment.\r \r Most recently, the car's engine would shut off while driving -- sometimes on the freeway and sometimes not. Usually for three to ten seconds and then come back on.\r \r I took the car to Veracom Ford in San Mateo. They charged me $130 to diagnose the problem and told me that the car's computer was bad. I did not believe this, but they said they were certain. They said that they would have to order the computer and it would take a few days to arrive. I picked up the car and drove it home BEFORE the new computer arrived and the problem was gone.\r \r I returned to the station when the new computer arrived and explained that the problem was gone and the service manager told me that it was probably merely not manifesting itself as frequently and he strongly suggested replacing the computer, which I allowed them to do for $670.\r \r The car had the exact same problem again AFTER leaving with the ne more

My wife and I recently went to this shop as my wife was considering getting a new car. The salesperson was nice enough, but not very capable. Seemed like he'd only been doing the job for a short period of time. It made it hard on us, as he just wasn't familiar with many of the cars he was showing us. Management turned out not to be much better. I've bought many cars over the years, and this was probably my least favorite experience. We ended up leaving. more
