Great medical care for my children 8/12/2018

My husband and I have been taking our two children to Dr. Hineman for two years. When she is not available we have had appointments with Dr, Mody and the nurse practitioner, Colleen. The care provided has been superb. Interactions with the front office staff and medical assistance has also been excellent. We strongly recommend this practice. more

Disorganized 6/15/2017

I honestly use to love this place. BUT they are horrible disorganized. They tried to bill me for something in 2015 (June 2015 to be exact) but i did not receive this call about this until March of 2017. I asked to see what it was for and was told oh we will give you a call back. THEY never called back, soon after this i got a letter in the mail that my children are no longer welcome at Valley of the Sun Pediatrics. All because i questioned what the bill was for and why my insurance did not cover it? Very displeased with this place and how they handled things. more

Great Doctors Office! 7/26/2014

Great office, friendly staff! Dr. Mody, Dr Hineman and nurse Janet have been very helpful through all of our appointments, well or sick. The triage staff is also very helpful on the phone with questions. I feel like they truly care about my family and our needs. We love the way the office is set up with separate well and sick waiting areas and it is very kid and teen friendly! more

Love, Love, Love Dr Hineman. She is VERY knowledgeable, patient, down to earth, friendly, and great with kids. I would highly recommend her and this practice to anyone looking for a pediatrician! more

Great Office 6/7/2014

Dr. Hineman is a very patient, knowledgeable, helpful, and kind pediatrician. We love the office, having separate waiting room areas that are kid and teen friendly. The office staff are friendly. We have insurance and haven’t had any problems with insurance. The office is very busy. Sometimes we need to get in and have to wait for a few hours to be seen but I like being seen at her office instead of urgent center or ER. The last dr we saw you could walk in and get right in but I think that showed that he wasn’t good since noone was ever there. more

Excellent Service 6/4/2014

This practice has been my families home for almost 5 years and have been very thankful to have found Dr Hineman and this practice. She has correctly identified problems that other doctors have overlooked. I have also liked talking with her front office staff. My son feels so comfortable here as a teenager and more importantly she takes her time with each visit so you don't feel rushed. I called last weekend about a question and she called us back within 10minutes. I also have liked scheduling some sports physicals for Saturday morning so my children don't always have to miss school. Highly recommend! more

Disappointed 4/29/2014

Dr. Hineman is wonderful. But after having a concern following an appointment with Dr. Mody, I called to speak with Dr. Hineman (the Dr I have taken my kids to for the past 10 years) and the office manager "Ed" said she was "far too busy to deal with matters like this". I said I needed to speak with Dr. Hineman before coming into the office again and he immediately said he would cancel all further appointments and then hung up. I did not scream or swear or abuse this manager in any way and I find this completely unacceptable & just plain rude. Sadly, Dr. Hineman will never even know why my children no longer go to her practice. Business must be really good to throw away patients so easily. more

Wonderful Doctor! 10/28/2012

My daughter loves Dr Hineman. She takes the time to engage her and plays with her during the visit and my step son even was given the opportunity to listen to our new daughter's heart beat. She is a very caring doctor. We highly recommend her. more

WONDERFUL PEDIATRIC PRACTICE! 4/27/2012

My husband is a physician and has very high expectations and this practice exceeded all of them for us. We have a large (4 kids) family and Dr Hineman will let us bring them in at the same time which we never were able to do before. She also does well exams and physicals on the weekends which is helpful if you have school-aged children. We had a baby recently and were so impressed that she called to check on us over the weekend when we were having some breastfeeding problems. I have never had a doctor do that before. I highly recommend Valley of the sun pediatrics to all of our friends and neighbors! more

Wonderful, clean and caring pediatric office! 4/26/2012

We were worried when we moved to Phoenix about finding another doctor to take care of our large (6 kids) family but were relieved to find Valley of the sun pediatrics. We love Dr Hineman! She took time out of her weekend to call us at home to make sure our new baby was feeding better, just because. I have never had another doctor do that. We have heard such great things from our neighbors about the practice and it is all true. The staff is personable and the office is clean and has separate waiting areas to keep the sick children away from the well one's. We recommend Dr Hineman to all of our friends and family. more
