Best

The service was very good!

Worst

I decided to give the place a try despite all the negative service feedback I hear from others who own toyota's First off, be careful, this place try's to charge you for service ...

Truly a blessing 6/6/2011

Toyota of Poway was awesome when it came to helping my family find the car that we were looking for. We even told them the payments that we wanted and the price and they met us exactly where we wanted to be met. A few weeks after we purchased the used car, we noticed the brakes were wobbling at higher speeds. I called Alex (our salesman) and he immediately got our car in to repair. Not only did they fix the problem in under an hour, but they cut the rotors and replaced the brake pads at NO COST to me! Even though this problem was not covered under the warranty, they fixed it for free anyways. That is what i call customer service and integrity at its best. Thank you Alex and thanks to Toyota of Poway for blessing our family! more

Amazing dealers! 6/2/2011

Amazing dealers!!!! I bought a 2011 camry here on dec 29th 10, tough negotiation, but finally got a unbeatable deal. Even though my credit score is low, based on my payment history of my other toyota suv, I got 0% interest. Every department tried help me. I would definitely recommend this place to friends. more

10 stars! 5/24/2011

Just service my 2008 tacoma there today for oil change and engine light repair and everything was great! Tiffany helped me out today and she was the best person I have ever dealt with at any dealership. She made everything so easy and she was so excited and enthusiastic. Give here 10 stars! more

No pressure 5/24/2011

Just purchased a Toyota Tacoma from Toyota of Poway and couldn't be happier. Received prices from 3 different stores and they were the cheapest (by $2000.00) with the least pressure. I received the first price from them and when I came back they did exactly what they said. I noticed they had some bad reviews, but they are under new ownership now and my experience was excellent. I would definetly go back. No pressure care buying experience! more

Terrible - Stay Away 5/17/2011

I decided to give the place a try despite all the negative service feedback I hear from others who own toyota's First off, be careful, this place try's to charge you for service above what the actual service hours are. In one instance they attempted to charge me for two hours of labor to install a Mass Air Sensor that is very accessible, held on by two screws and a single wiring harness. In all, with no experience, it took me 15 minutes to replace myself. The second issue, was you get charge for a whole lot of work that never gets done. I had the 60K service for over $1000K. None of my CV joints where lubricated as was supposed to be. And to top it off, the place breaks my door handle. And because I didn't notice it right away, they tell me I broke it. If you do go here, check your service closely and inspect very closely and run through exactly what they did. Do NOT take their word for it. Also, do not listen to the service agents. They try and make you buy things you don't need for a ridiculous price. more

Thanks Bill and Toyota of poway 5/4/2011

I bought a used car from here. My sale rep was named Miguel. He was a nice guy and not pushy at all. I purchases a 03 expedition that I thought was in good shape but without a warranty due to milage . When I was talking to the used car sales manager named Bill Clark he said that the vehical went through a complete check out and was in good condition. He told me he would not sell something unless he would back it up. Normally the first thing that comes to your mind is, He is just saying that. Well I was driving the vehicle 4 days after buying it and it started cutting out while driving. In my mind I thought, I bought a car with problems. I stopped by my mechanic and he looked at it and read the codes. Told me it was in the secondary fuel area which could be 3 or 4 things that are expensive to fix. So I went to toyota and talked to Bill Clark. He immediately took the vehicle in back and had his mechanic check it. They came up with the same codes but could not pinpoint the problem so he sent it to the ford dealer to have it looked at. In the mean time he gave me a free rental. After the car was at ford for days they finally found the problem and replace the fuel relay and the whole fuse box. When I went to pick up the vehicle Chein, my service advisor ( who kept me up to date on the problem daily) told me to see the cashier. When I signed I was told everything was at no charge. That is what I call service and standing behind what you sell and say. Thank you to Bill Clark more

Love this place 5/2/2011

I love this Dealer! I have been to Kearny Mesa Toyota & Crapy, I mean Mossy, and this is by far the best. The only downfall for me is that they are not the closest. Other than that, they are by far the best in my book. I have purchased 1 car & 2 trucks from them. I have refered my sister, both of my parents & my aunt & uncle. All have purchased new cars from them. I see people on here that expect 100,000 miles on there tires, and I wonder what kind of drugs they are taking. If you hit curbs and drive badly, your tires wont last that long. Losin up the purse strings and invest in some new tires instead of blaming a car dealership or Toyota for not rotating them properly. more

Would shop with them again 5/2/2011

They beat a lease deal on a Prius II that another dealership was running, and got me out of there quickly. It was about as painless as it could have been. The sales rep and sales manager didn't try to push anything on me and let me lead the sale. Would shop with them again more

Put me at ease 4/22/2011

Coming in to Toyota of Poway was a little nerve wrecking. Until I was approached by Tom, the Salesman. He greeted me in a respectful funny way and put me at ease. Helped me find the exact car I wanted and made it an easy buying experience. Thank you ever so much. more

REAL AMERICANS!!! 9/13/2009

WOW I FOUND A CAR BUYERS HEAVEN!! The staff was great sraight forward they even told me they were making a good deal on me. The sales guy even invited me over to his house for a BBQ. I was shocked by just how cool the staff was at his party. They told me about how horrible 10% of the customers are He said they just beg cry and complain in an effort to get a better deal. I noticed that a few people on here wrote a bad complaint. I love the cheapskate that wanted free tires because he wore his out? All to often people whine and cry because they do not get their way!! I must say that they proably handle a few thousand customers a month which are proably as blown away by just how nice they are. So if your what they call a grinder or a jack or just a cheapskate go somewhere else and complain about them!! These are some cool cats that get paid for selling not showing if you want to look at cars go to the car show Pros: RIGHT TO THE POINT Cons: THEY DO NOT PLAY more

Unethical and Dishonest Dealership 8/22/2009

NEVER go here!!! Stay way from this dishonest dealership!!! On August 22, I went to Toyota of Poway to take advantage of the cash for clunker. After taking the car (Corolla LX) for a test drive, I told Sergio Garcia, my salesperson I wanted to purchase the car. Since the cash for clunker was ending soon, the price of the car was MSRP minus the $4500 for the clunker and $500 manufacture rebate which was agreed upon by myself and Sergio (that was the case everywhere in San Diego County) While writing up the contract, Sergio asked how I was going to finance the car. Once I told him I was going to pay cash, he told me to hold on a minute because he had to talk to his manager. When he came back, he gave me a new price, one which included a $795 car alarm. I told him I didn't want the alarm (the alarm wasn't even installed nor was it on the window sticker) and that I just wanted to purchase the car with no other options. He hold me since I was paying cash, Toyota of Poway wasn't making any money (what's BS...not making money off of MSRP) and in order for them to make money I had to finance through them or purchase the alarm. I agreed with financing the car and asked him if there was going to be any pre-penalty for paying off the loan early. When he heard that, he told me he couldn't sell me the car. I asked to talk to the sales manager and when he (Rob Bartolo) arrived, there was nothing but arguments. When I told Rob what happened, he said he had the right to sell how he wanted at his own discretion and that since the program was ending soon, Toyota of Poway was doing this to all their vehicle. I told him he was manipulating a government run program to make a profit. When he heard that, he asked me to leave. I asked for his business card but he wouldn't give it to me. He yelled at me and threaten to call the police and I told him I would leave as soon as I get a business card. After 5 minutes of arguing back and forth and walking towards the building, Rob finally told Sergio to get a business card. As I was on my way out, I told him this was an unethical dishonest dealership and that they were manipulating the program. Rob's response ""the program was developed to help the dealership, not the consumers."" I told him I would quote him on that and all he could do was walk away. I hate this dealership and would never go here! Pros: Nothing Cons: Everything more
