A lot of people will miss Time Out!!!!!!!!!! 2/11/2008

Time Out was the best bar on the upper west side. a lot of friendship and couples came out from this bar. the BEST wings!!! HOT bartenders!!!! 4 beer pong tables, buy back. no other bar will be able to compare to this bar. more

CLOSED DOWN FINALLY! 2/11/2008

I've been to Time Out myself, but was never impressed by the hipster crowd, rude and unattentive bartenders, and lousy jukebox. I guess they finally got what they deserved now that the bar is closed! Now, if you want to go to a REAL dive bar, head to Yogi's on Broadway at 76th St. It's the only dive bar left in the Upper West side. Pros: CLOSED, perhaps a chance for a better bar in its place more

A-hole staff, will not go back 2/10/2008

The manager and bartender were complete a-holes to us for merely moving one of their tables in the back where no one was! I guess they were on a power trip? I don't know, I'm not going back. more

Two Pitchers of Blue Moon and I Was Out Cold 12/9/2007

This place rocks! Me and my boy Ballbag went to Time Out for some famous wings and beer... I'm such a lightweight I was passed out by the third pitcher, crapping wings like nobody's business. *****, will definitely return! Watch out Time Out! more

Best beer pong ever! 12/9/2007

Love this joint. I was throwing down some blueprint pong last night when a challenger named mattstew stepped up. My killer left hand dropped him like a dozen before him. "Mess the with best, dye like the rest." more

best after kickball time 6/5/2007

we come here every monday after kickball and have the BEST time playing flip cup with all the teams. Its definitely alot of craziness but a rockin good time. Pros: such a fun time!! Cons: service is not great more

Great for reuniting with college buds... 3/9/2007

Great place for Beirut (Beer Pong). I think 3 custom tables, pretty long, with house rules on the wall. Cheap pitchers as well. more

tommy want wingy 7/11/2005

I love this place -- great wings and nice portions in general also reasonably priced for UWS (especially if you catch the happy hour). The staff is very friendly, and watch out you might be doing shots or playing beer pong with them in no time. The hottest bartenders in NYC, without a doubt! Oh yeah, and about 30 TV screens... Pros: drinks, food, service more

$1 Rheingold Cans 5/9/2005

How can you beat that deal? By the way...Carmit is super hot!! Pros: Cheap Beers, Carmit = Hot Cons: Smells like crap, Young crowd more

HORRIBLE! 7/6/2004

Beer: warm and flat... stick with bottles if you must Service: what the service... the drunk bartenders? Food: bland, very average Find someplace else, there are much better options. more

terrible service 9/14/2003

if you don't mind waiting 1 1/2 hours for your food to be served this place is good for watching sunday NFL games--TVs everywhere and the place is packed. The main gripe here is the lack of service. It doesn't matter how packed the place is. Making customers wait literally an hour and a half for their order (just some buffalo wings, a few average burgers and fries) is unacceptable! Cons: snail's paced service more

Good times! 7/31/2003

A friend brought me after work one night and now I'm a regular. The bartenders are all great. The wings (and the rest of the menu for that matter) are quite a tasty treat. . .I recommend lots of beer to go with the number 6 or 7s (hottest). The crowd is always interesting and fun loving. There are a million (perhaps more like 30) tvs around with every sporting event you could possibly want. And of course the BEER PONG is a great way to pass the time, meet people, and drink a LOT in the name of "friendly" competition. Cons: none more

The Best 7/30/2003

I LOVE THIS PLACE!!!!! BEER PONG!!! AWESOME CHICKEN WINGS!! AND A FUNNY MAN NAMED TETSUO WHO HANGS OUT AT THE BAR EVERY NIGHT AND RUNS THE BEER PONG TABLE. THIS BAR IS DEFINITELY THE BEST IN NYC!!!!!! more

Gotta love it! 7/30/2003

The bartenders are phenomenal, "Shaggy" can't be beat. . .Stu's all right too :), the regulars are a rowdy and interesting bunch, and of course the BEER PONG is always great. Karaoke night. . .as the night gets longer the talent gets better. . .well, at least on the pong table it does. This bar has a laid back atmosphere with an incredible staff that simply can't be beat. Pros: stiff drinks, wonderful bartenders, beer pong more

Good times 7/29/2003

Time Out could be considered a home away from home for some. Thanks to its friendly and graceful bartenders and managers and a well-rounded crowd, it's always a good place to duck in to get a beer or to stay a couple of hours. Beerpong is fun, the variety of sports on t.v. is ample and dancing happens. Good times. more

I Hate Beer Pong... 7/29/2003

If this applies to you, do not enter Timeout or isk having ping pong balls whizzing past your face or rolling past your feet. Beer Pong rules at this Upper Best Side establishment. I'm not referring to a bunch of frat boys running, naked, around a table. The playing crowd is eclectic, ranging from 40 somethings to 20 somethings to beserk Geckos. The service is efficient and friendly. Stop in on a Monday and chat with Will, a loveable Southerner who knows hospitality, but will act swiftly to humble you on the Pong table. Bartenders are ridirkculously beautiful and keep the beers/drinks flowing. Sports, sports, and even extreme sports (I'm talking ironing clothing in class 3 rapids) are on the plethora of tv's. Come one, come all. 1/2 price drinks every Saturday and Sunday from opening until 7pm. Pros: Beer Pong, Bodacious Bartenders, Sports, Sport, Sports more

Time Out Is The Best 7/29/2003

Time Out IS the last stop when it comes to sports bars. They have all the games on all the time, if it isn't on, they will happily put it on the TV of your choice. Their beer selection is huge, and their menu rocks. The wings blow the roof off the other place on 79th St. And to top, the Saturday bartender is the hottest in the city (TRUST ME). Oh yeah...the have Beer Pong too... Pros: cheap, good food, good times more

BEER PONG 2/26/2003

If you like Beer Pong (Beruit if you prefer), this is the place...forget the pool table (they threw a top on it)...Beer Pong All Night (EVERYNIGHT), awesome DJ on the weekends (June's the man) and what can you saw about the bartenders? HOTHOTHOT (Honestly off the charts), and cheap drinks too...what more can you honestly ask for? Pros: inexpensive, awesome food, beer pong more

Does a Sports bar NEED good service? 2/4/2003

Great TV's are located everywhere, and this is a great place to catch severalgames at once. NFL sundays you can catch your favorite team, even if they are out of town. Good food (like the 35 cent Buffalo wings on Wednesdays), and OK drinks (try the buckets of rock for 8 bucks). The one thorn in this place's side is the service. Some nights it is OK, others it is downright deplorable! Watch out for the female bartender. She spends more time on her cell phone than pouring brews! Pros: Chicken Wings, NFL Sunday Ticket, Special Events Cons: Service, Service, Service more

the video guy 11/22/2002

THe guy in charge of the video feeds was unbelievably accomodating to me. I was searching for a bar to watch one of the opening night out of market games in the NHL. At first, one of the feeds was messed up and the station it was supposed to be on was showing golf. He immediately got on the phone to find out what was up even though i was the only person in thebar that wanted to watch this game. 10 minutes later i was watching Flyers v. Oilers. Pros: the video guy Cons: viginia tech fans more
