Don't be mislead... 5/2/2011

I am the co-Owner of The Spa at Cinco Ranch and don't normally respond to these reviews but the one posted on 3/27/2011 by "administrator75" deserves comment. Why all the hate? We never ask anybody to pay up front as most would object. Only the Astros and Jack in the Box do that. As for our facility, it may be a brick building but I will place it up against anything in west Houston. Client feedback and our research support that. Small bathroom? We have two locker rooms on the Spa side, each with its own steam room, changing area, showers, etc. Our Relaxation Room does have water, tea service, music, a fireplace and opens onto a courtyard area. We do not rush clients through nor do we attempt to "upsell" them on added services. I run the place so I know what is booked and what is paid for. Our people are just not that way. Our repeat business reflects that. My phone is the one that rings when we do have a complaint (not often I would add) and we go out of our way to rectify the matter so as to build repeat business over the long term. The insinuations to the contrary in the review I mentioned are an insult to our employees and just flat out incorrect. Those comments are different from the smiles I see from the hundreds of people who visit us every week, return often and purchase our Gift Certifcates every year for friends, co-workers and loved ones. After 9 years, we remain one of the Top 10 busiest Spas/Salons in the Greater Houston area and there is a reason for that. Actually a lot of reasons. We may not be perfect but we're trying and one spiteful review will not convince me otherwise!!! We like constuctive feedback, that helps, but not anonymous kicks in the stomach.... Nothing special about this place 3/26/2011

I will never go here again. If you have ever been to a spa before this place is sad and if you have not do not waste your money for this to be your first experience, it does not do spa's any justice. to start you drive up to a brick building with nothing relaxing about it. You walk in and they do not take money at the door which I found kind of funny because anyone could get services then just walk out. Thru the process I found out why. (They try to sell you things the whole time.) then you go into a small bathroom where you change and they have the bare necessities. (For the price you pay they should have everything to make you feel wonderful when you leave.) You going into a relaxation room that is more like a living room with some magazines (nothing relaxing about it unless you just want to sit in a room no incense or relaxing music) Massage was ok. After that went to get a spa and medicure, it was ridicuolous I watched them sale the same things to everyone who came in and just would not stop when you would tell them no, they would tell everyone how horrible there nails were and how they could fix them. Nothing relaxing about that. Then you leave. When leaving you pay at the front desk. Remeber what I said at the beginning about paying afterwards well that is so they can ring up all those little extra things that should have been included. There is nothing about this places that says spa except that they do massages. Oh and they charged for aromatherapy not sure when I got to experience that, but I sure had to pay for it. No explains anything to you they just try to get you thru your services and out of the building. more

Mediocre spa with overplayed hype 12/8/2010

The sole reason I visit this spa is for Cher, one of the massage therapists. She is absolutely wonderful and a shining gem in this overpriced and overhyped salon. This salon is known for being this way, interestingly enough. The facials, manicures and pedicures are absolutely terrible. The pedicures are done in this teeny tiny room and the technicians are not friendly. I get better service from my corner nail salon- seriously. Not to mention the nail services are crazy overpriced. Don't waste your money on this one when you can get better service from your corner nail salon. more

Spa is pricy but hair salon is great 11/7/2010

I thought the spa and the massage was a little over priced but the hair salon was great. Very friendly and she did a great job. I will go back for hair cut again. more

Beware: Ripped Off at Cinco Ranch 8/4/2010

I took my wife for a couples anniversary spa treatment at the Spa at Cinco Ranch on July 24. During the treatment my locker was broken into and I was robbed of $285 from my wallet. The Sheriff's Department is looking into the 4 people present that had the universal code for the locker room. The owner was aloof about it and took him more than an hour before he arrived to check it out. You would think through it all that he would have comp'd the treatment. Whie the service was good as well as the amendities... it just goes to show that you never can tell about a place. I reported the review to SPAFINDER who we used to find the location and they failed to publish the critique more

Ripped Off at Spa at Cinco Ranch 7/23/2010

While getting an anniversary spa treatment on 7/24/2010 for my wife and I at this salon $285 dollars was stolen from my wallet in the locker in the men's locker room. They have electronic locks, but the front desk personnel and manager have the universal lock code. The manager was gone when I noticed the money missing. The owner didn't have the courtesy to comp the visit and offered up a 60 minute massage in exchange... anyone want to use it? more

Wonderful experience 3/17/2010

I try to visit at least every other month because it is so great! The massage therapists are wonderful (especially Paula) and so are the pedicurists. Very clean facility and quiet relaxation room. If you would like to relax outside, there is a beautiful patio area. You can preorder lunch to extend the experience. First class all the way! more

WONDERFUL and RELAXING!!! 12/10/2009

My husband gave me a gift certificate to The Spa at Cinco Ranch. My spa package included steam room, 60 minute massage, lunch and a spa pedicure. This was the MOST AMAZING spa experience ever! The massage therapist gave me the best massage I have ever had in my life. Spa pedicure to die for!!!WELL EXPERIENCED. The place is very clean, friendly and attentive staff, very tranquil and peaceful environment. I 've been to a lot of spas... this one is highly recommended. GREAT experience. I will be back...regularly!!! :o) Thank YOU! more

NOT GOOD! 2/3/2009

I will not be back to this Spa. I was treated so rudely by the staff and services were not impressive either. My pedicure was rushed and they lady talked about her personal problems the whole time. Not what a spa should be like! I came there to relax. The locker room was not kept up. There were towels and water puddles all over the place. The toilet was backed up that I used. I told the front when I left, but they acted like they didn't care. more

Best Spa in the Greater Houston Area 1/30/2009

This spa is absolutely wonderful. I was treated like a princess as soon as I walked in the door. The spa was very clean. They served a wonderful water beverage with fruits that was out of this world! I cant wait to go back! more

A Slice of Heaven in Katy 1/29/2009

Everyone from the front desk to the owners are a delight. The top level of professionalism is second to none. I have used all their services and have never had a complaint. I drive 30+ miles once a month for my spa day. In my opinion, there is nothing else in Houston to compare with the Spa at Cinco Rach. Keep up the good work!!!! Pros: Ambience, clean, knowledgeable staff Cons: None more

Bad Experience 1/26/2009

I was not happy after my visit. The services I had were horrible. Manicure, massage, and facial. they were not friendly either. The restroom did not smell very good and the floors seemed dirty. The worst part was the facial. The lady was rough with my skin. I will not go back. more

Terrible Experience! 1/22/2009

I had a spa manicure here and I was so disappointed. My polish chipped off later that day in chunks. I was in a wedding the next day so it really inconvienced me. I know polish on natural nails chips fairly soon, but not later the same day. I was purposely not doing much of anything so that my nails would last, but the polish still chipped. I also had a Facial. The lady who did was very rough with my skin and she seemed to rush through it. She was really loud with all the bottles of products she used when she sat them down, like I was in a kitchen with noisy dishes. It just seemed the owners tried to create a high end spa atmosphere, but the services were not spa quality. I was hesitant on coming here because I got a paper flyer on my door advertising the spa and I felt that it was a cheap thing for a high end spa to do. Like a lawn mowing service or corner nail shop would do. anyway, I will not be back to The Spa at Cinco Ranch. I will try another Katy area spa next time. . more

Terrible!! Overpriced for the quality of what you get. 1/15/2009

I took my friend here for her birthday. Our services ran late the whole time we were there. We had a massage, a pedicure, manicure, and shampoo / dry. We finished an hour late and had to cancel our dinner. The massage was O.K. , but the other things were horrible. My hair was half done looking. My nails were sloppy-polish was out of lines. An older blonde lady at the front desk was rude to me when I paid for my friend and me. She also could not answer some of my questions about services they offered. She seemed out of it or like she didn't know what she was doing. It was a little funny. Luckily she left the desk and a nice girl helped me. I wanted to speak to an owner about my experience, but he wouldn't come up to the reception desk. I was told he was there though. I guess he didn't care. Bad business practices! more

Great High Class Spa 3/22/2008

My husband bought me a gift certifacate for Christmas from the Spa at Cinco Ranch. It was a spa package that included a lunch. There were some services on the gift certificate that I didnt want to do, so I called the spa and talked to the friendly front desk staff and they informed me that I was not limited to what was on the gift card. I could do any service I desired. The girls at the front desk help me coordinate exacailly what I wanted. I couldn't have asked for a better experience then the one at The Spa at Cinco ranch. The staff was so helpful and informative it made coordinating my Spa day a breeze. more

Best Spa in Katy & Houston 3/22/2008

I absolutely loved my visit to The Spa at Cinco Ranch. My favorite part was that the staff made me feel very welcomed. The ladies at the reception desk were very nice and helpful. I had several questions and they were very knowledgeable about the services offered there. The atmospshere is great and the services were great too! My massage was the best that I ever had. I would definitely recommend this Spa to anyone looking for a high class Spa that has a very friendly staff willing to accomodate your every need. Pros: Very knowledgeable, friendly, clean, great nails, hair, and body treatments Cons: N/A more

Overpriced for an average Day Spa!! 5/24/2007

Been there once and felt like the place was a little too snooty for me. The prices they charge are way too much and they decor is a litle tacky. I had a spa package that I couldn't change any of the services because it was a set package. At the end when I was checking out they tried to push products that I felt I did not need. Overall a average day spa that is overpriced...IMO Pros: Clean Spa Cons: Over Priced more

Worth the extra $$ 8/1/2006

For a place that doesn't specialize in nails, this is a good place for a manicure or pedicure. All the techs are well experienced and professional. My husband even goes here, no where else. Pros: They speak English Cons: you'll pay a bit more more
