Unfortunatley SunPet has to carry the brunt of PETA's hatred of all things ""PET"". The ""employee"" who hurt the animal was an informant of PETA and was the only one caught on tape abusing the animals....seems kinda unfair. That's like me going to your house and being abusive to your dog and then claiming you allowed it. There is always another side to the story....especially with PETA. I am not saying that there isn't a lot of animal abuse in the world that they have strived to end, but they have crossed the line to forward their own agenda more times than I could count. makes their movement suspect and untrustworthy. more

Guilty of animal cruelty! 5/17/2011

Sun Pet Ltd., a pet supply store in Atlanta, is torturing and killing hundreds of innocent animals that aren't able to be sold. Recently revealed footage shows Sun Pet Ltd. employees putting hamsters into a bag and bashing the bag against a table until the poor animals die. There are also cases in which Sun Pet Ltd. starve their animals and leave them without water. This is by far one of the worst possible cases of animal cruelty in recent history, as the acts taken by the company's employees are clearly deliberate and calculated. more
