Very unprofessional and incompetent. more

I'm not sure why every single review is 1 star, but I know they did have a lot of incompetent people that didn't last very long. Some of these reviews look suspect, so I am going to guess it's disgruntled employees. I just moved out of my property for a job promotion after living there for 5 years. Other than the people that actually show and rent the homes, everyone else I've dealt with in the office has been there for years and they are always helpful. Other than one neighbor who had an annoying dog, I was very happy where I was at. Rent is due on the 5th like everywhere else, but I was late 3 times because I was out of town and it slipped my mind. They worked with me and were easy going, so as long as you're not a jerk they will return the favor. The maintenance people were always excellent and on time. I only had 3 issues with the property when I lived there and they were minor, but still an inconvenience for that short period of time. I really have no complaints. I got all but $5 back of my deposit because I forgot to touch up the wall and paint where I scuffed it up after moving my furniture out. I figure a sample size of paint is $3, so $2 for labor and travel time and texture is way less than making me fly back to take care of it myself and buy the supplies. Honestly, I think me saying I lived in one place for 5 years speaks for itself. I am dealing where I am at now because the amenities are much nicer, but I don't like moving. I might rent from them again, just in another area. more

After reading all the reviews about Steed (Keys), I really wish I never signed a lease with them. They are rude and flaky. I hope every one else does their homework before signing any contracts with Steed. more

This has got to be the worst Property management company I have ever dealt with. They approve you without looking into your income or references. They just want your application fee. I was told I was approved and then they put the llisting of the property back up. They want you to pay your security deposit before you see the place. You can never get ahold of them or they don't show up for appointments because they say they where sick but don't have the courtesy to call u to let u know so they where a no-show. Very Very unprofessional and they just want your application fee. Go with another company. There are some that return fee's if not approved. Those are honest companies. With all the bad publicity I would have changed my name too! This shady company has a rather rocky past. Online, I’ve found 7. I pay my rent to RMF Investment Group but I have to deal with the incompetent people who work at Steed Properties. I wish I had read the reviews before I signed a lease with this company. more
