The staff at Sona was so professional and personable. I was a littel nervous getting filler and botox, but after talking with the consultants and spending some time with the nurse, I felt very confident and at ease about the procedure. I have tried other spas in the area with much success but thought I'd try a laser package at Sona after hearing a radio commercial. I called & they asked that I pay on the spot, so I did. Then I read bad reviews of the procedure and tried to cancel. They wouldn't refund my balance and talked me into another (peel) package. I decided midway through the peel package that it wasn't working for me and tried to use my remaining balance for another procedure. They do not know my balance but are trying to force me to complete the package. This place is a scam and the service is poor. I heard other people coming in the office complaining about the cost of procedures and efficacy as well. Try another spa and read the reviews first! Pros: one good esthetician Cons: everything else more

I came in for a consultation about the Pixel laser resurfacing treatment. The staff member I met with was honest about what I could expect (some downtime) and the changes I could expect with my skin. After that treatment, I purchased a Sun Repair package for my arms and my chest. My skin has never looked better. And, once you become a customer you get even better discounts than advertised specials! I look much younger than I did prior to the treatment and have received many compliments. Laser hair removal is expensive, takes a long time and does not permanently remove anything except your dignity and hope. I signed up for laser hair removal and was told that it was for the entire area, so I pay my money and then once I got into the room for my first visit with the nurse (who was not very nice and in fact a bit rude and short) she said that because my skin was darker in the bikini area (I am 1/2 Asian) that they would not be able to do the entire area. She did NOT say ""if you want to change your mind you can cancel now""!! I would have canceled if I had the option, because if it wasn't the Brazilian, then I didn't want a partial! When I emailed to complain and let them know I felt completely disappointed, they said had 2 lasers- one that can treat skin types which can accommodate most clients up to an Oprah skin type (I'm clearly about 1/2 that dark!!). They proceeded to say, ""however the labia area on a lot of women is darker. I am sorry it was not explained to your further as far as you feeling you had an option to decline treatment."" They said their policy is that if someone discontinues a treatment package we charge the individual treatment price and then issue a credit. Well they were offering a 1/2 price special which was $750 (normally $1,500) for 5 treatments plus 2 free extras afterwards. Since I paid $750, you might think that I would at least get 4/5 of the $750 back (I didn't count the ""free"" ones, just to give them the benefit of the doubt). THIS WAS NOT THE CASE!! They said they were going by the ""normal"" price for one treatment which would have been $300...so, that was almost 1/2 of what I paid!! So basically for that, I decided to just finish the treatments in the outer areas. There is still hair after 4 treatments, but not much...but that was NOT what I was originally told and I feel it was a complete waste of money. Once they had my money I discovered that they were so booked that they could not even get me in for treatments at the appropriate times that nurse said I should have the treatments. By the third very painful treatment (more painful than natural childbirth) I started to get very concerned. Not only did I not see any results but where they had injected all the needles I had very deep dark burises on my legs. I was in so much pain that I called to see if I should even come in for the next treatment. They recommended that I wait. Six months later I still had bruises and decided that I could not put myself through it anymore. Since I had only 3 treatments I asked for a refund but was told I would not be getting one. It has now been almost a year since my last treatment and I still have dents, hard spots and faint bruising on my thighs?yes, I am concerned that it is permanent. So please learn from my mistake, do not go to Sona and throw your money away and end up with worse than you started. Pros: Location Cons: Cost, results, staff more

No one told me until the 11th appt. that they could NEVER get all the hair removed. I have been paying and paying for years now and will still have to shave my underarms. Very disappointing to be led astray with promises. And P.S. the procedures are very painful even with their numbing creams & ice. Pros: clean, friendly Cons: painful, doesn't work, costly more
