Sledge Concrete Coatings did my driveway and my walkway. They were prompt, professional, and they got it done in the way and time they said they would. Communication was poor. No foloow-up call to confirm workers were coming. Also, was told the color coating would match the back patio. Same color but shinier and not the same texture RESPONSE FROM Sledge Concrete Coatings: Thank you for your feedback, we will work to improve communication in the future. New polyurethane will always have a higher sheen than older existing coatings this should dull down somewhat quickly but the elements it is exposed to and foot traffic will determine a lot of that. Heavily shaded areas will stay shiny longer. Polyurethane is only the thickness of a couple of sheets of paper and follows the contour of the concrete. We spent $1,793.61 for an acid stain on the driveway at our home. The finished concrete looked nothing like what was represented by the company. It looked so terrible that my wife cried when she saw it. The owner said that he would return to fix the job; however, noone ever returned. I wish that we had never found this company. RESPONSE FROM Sledge Concrete Coatings: This review is very frustrating; this job was done over a year ago and was the second job we did for Richard G. We did respond back and go over the customer concerns in person within a couple of days. We thought the issue was resolved and the customer understood the condition of his existing concrete finish, not the acid stain we did, was the issue. This was explained beforehand also and the job was done at a 45 discount off of our regularly published price due to the poor condition of the driveway and knowing the end result would be less than perfect. Sledge Concrete Coating has not heard from this customer since that time, in May of 2011, and since this review we have tried to contact the customer to resolve this and have not had a return call. The customers warranties are still in place and will be honored. more

I had Sledge Concrete Coatings install cool decking, a material that doesn't pick as much heat from the sun as concrete, as a layer on top of the concrete around our pool. It was a three day process, but we had to reschedule once, and they were very accommodating. The installers were polite, courteous, and we had no issues. more

We had Richard come out and give us an estimate and he stuck by what he said also fixed some small problems that we had prior that we had not fixed yet . He was at the job everyday told us what was to be done and he and the guys were very personable and easy to work with . Richard even worked with our HOA . It's a family business and that's always good to support. They show up on time and are very professional. They explain everything they plan on doing before they do it. My experience with Sledge Concrete Coatings was excellent. I hired them to replace the gravel in my back yard with pavers. They were very professional, they were knowledgeable, and did a great job. I am extremely satisfied and happy with the work they did. They came in on time and completed the job within the time they said they would get it done. I'd say they outperformed what they said they'd do for us. The only drawback, is they weren't a very friendly bunch, so I wouldn't go out with them after work. But based on the work they did, I'd definitely recommend them! more

My experience with Sledge Concrete Coatings was good, overall. I hired them to put a concrete coating on my patio, which looks like stone. The finished product looked good, but I did have an issue with the follow up. After a few cracks appeared, I thought they were going to install brand new pieces. Instead, they just repaired the cracks. The results were fine, but I feel that the communication could have been better. Looking at the job as a whole, they were knowledgeable, and it was very easy to set up. The only thing I would suggest is for them to communicate more clearly. At the end of the day, I'm satisfied. more
