I performed a lot of research before contracting Skyline to do all or our 18 Windows (Casements and Sliders) and 2 Sliding Glass Doors. I interviewed 9 potential contractors. The price range between the lowest quotes and the highest was a $28,000 spread. Skyline’s price was in the middle of the pack. I appreciated the fact that Randy used no pressure during the call. He knows that the customer referrals will do the selling for him (more on that later). After hearing all of the presentations, I had narrowed the choice down to 2 potential contractors. I asked each of the 2 companies for references. Randy had a whole book of them to choose from, not just a couple, but hundreds of names. I called 6 and visited 4 previous customers in our neighborhood. All said the same thing; “Excellent product and installation”. I figured I would be making a mistake choosing anyone else but Skyline after all of the discussions. Another important part of the decision was financial stability. Randy did not need money upfront to do the job. Having the financial wear with all to buy materials is an important factor. Roger and his Installation Team did an outstanding job. They arrived on time. They put canvas down throughout the house to protect the floors while removing the old windows and installing the windows and doors. The finishing detail of the installation and aluminum wrap even impressed me. Trust me I am a hard one to impress. There is a reason that Skyline has been in business for over 25 years. No pressure Sales; Financially Stable; Quality Product; Outstanding Installation Team and a Fair Price. One final thing to consider. A warranty is only as good as the company standing behind it. With 25 years under their belt I felt great about the choice. Do your homework. I know you will come to the same decision I did. more

The owner came out with a "no-pressure" sales call, which was a relief as I found that the window industry is full of high-pressure salesmen! He showed me their product, which I saw was superior to other window companies, and then was able to work with me on setting up a plan to install the windows in stages since I couldn't do all of them at once! Skyline Windows of Richmond replaced 57 windows in our home. They were extremely professional. They were moving blinds, cleaning up as they went, and reinstalling them and you couldn't even tell they had even been there. They always had their shoes off or covers over their feet. They were fast, very clean, and very responsive. There were two windows we had questions about and they immediately took care of the problems. The quality of the installation with the proper caulking and replacement of any rotting wood or other damage was excellent at no extra charge. They got in and repaired any issues so it was a real quality job. We've had a lot of contract work done and they are one of the top. I would definitely recommend them and use them again. Matter of fact, I already have recommended them a couple of times to friends. more

There is so much we could say and still it would not be enough. This is a mere explanation on our feels of total satisfaction in a company and their high end, great quality products as in the case of those we purchased. We needed windows and did not know where to turn because we knew we would need experience and quality. So my husband told me to pick three companies in the phone book and lets see what happens. Skyline Windows was one of the three we met with and after our meeting we were convinced Skyline was the company for us. Randy was not pushy with their products. His explanation of them sold us right away. He was so down to earth. We were given regular updates while they were being custom made for us. The men that came out to do the work were very polite, clean cut and neatly dressed in company attire. They worked very well as a team and showed respect to our home, us and each other. Very professional! They were very efficient and very competent in all aspect of the installation of our windows and door. When one of our newly installed windows got damaged from flying debris when our tree was struck by lighting a few weeks after its installation we called Skyline to give us a quote on the repairs. They came out did the repairs in a timely fashion and did not even charged us a penny for the work or their time. Amazing! What great customer service!. The samples Randy showed us were beautiful, but when ours were installed they were far beyond our expectation. The shape and quality makes us proud to have them on our home and they have added instant value to it. Many neighbors have complimented us on their beauty. We love our windows and our door. They really do have quality products and their products speaks for themselves. We are so pleased with our choice in company and our windows and door that we have requested a quote for our front door. First, I have to say that the customer service was A+ from the get-go. When you first talk with Randy at Skyline, you know you are dealing with a guy you can trust to do the best job possible. Our old windows were ThermalGard windows, installed in the 1980's by a company in Richmond that no longer exists. Randy did his best to find us replacement ThermalGards, but apparently they don't really build them anymore. So, Randy came out and measured for some other, similarly constructed windows. He told me, then, what our approximate timetable would be for delivery and installation. In about three weeks, the two installers came out and put in our new, wonderful windows. They were very polite and capable. The installation went without a hitch. We LOVE our new windows, and wish, in retrospect, that we had been able to replace more of our windows with Skyline. Since we were trying to replace only the "worst" windows, for putting our house on the market, we chose to replace only three. I have already recommended Skyline to our real estate agent and will leave their card with the new owners of our home, so that they can replace more windows as desired. By the way, Skyline also has a very generous referral program. more

The company told me the person who recommended me would receive a dining card. It never happened. Skyline lied to me about that. I had difficulties from day one. Difficult time getting someone out for an estimate. Upon installation was asked for a check that was more than that quoted me. That got worked out with a phone call and pulling up the quote on my computer. Door needed adjustment and could not get someone to adjust it. I was told once that they could not make it on the day planned - however, I was never informed anyone was to come on the day they planned. Good thing they couldn't make it. While attempting to get someone to come out to adjust the door, it locked and would not open at all. It was the only entrance into the back yard and shed. I could not even let my dog out, since the yard gates are locked from the inside, and I could not open the door to get outside to unlock them. Even after all the trouble, I mentioned again that my reference had not received a dinning card promised. Well, she never did. RESPONSE FROM Skyline Windows of Richmond: We have just recently finished your job. We send out dining cards after the work has been done. We are sorry about the trouble with your door, we still do not know why it started behaving in that mannor after we had already left or why your electrical system stopped working. We left everything in working order, and you inspected everything before you paid anything more than your $5 deposit. more

After meeting with several different vendors and reviewing the options, Skyline Windows came in at number 1. They had the best product at the best price. We were very pleased with the installation and the crew that came out to do that. Now that we have had the windows a few months, we still find that we love the windows, all their features, and have benefitted from lower energy bills. Skyline Window of Richmond replaced 19 windows in my house. They did a good job as far as being professional and clean, and I didn't worry about them in my house. Even though there were a couple of difficult windows they never complained. These are guys I don't have to worry about being in my house, and that really says it all for me. more
