First off let me say that I saw the ad online for Sir carpet and was happy that they advertised no hidden charges. I booked my appointment online and picked my time, date and services.
My appointment was set for 8 a.m. and I scheduled the rest of my day accordingly. On the day of my appointment the customer service representative, Heather, called me at 9 a.m. to confirm. When she told me the tech wouldn't be out until noon I was already getting a bad feeling. When I told her I had been waiting since 8 for my cleaner she became upset and put me on hold without asking. She was very rude and unprofessional. If I didn't have to move out of my house that day I would have called another company.
When the tech, Simon, showed up he was very polite and professional and explained what my carpet was going to require. This was different than what was quoted on the website. He said that stairs were charged differently than a room and that my dining room was counted separately even though it was connected to my living room. He also explained that spotting and sanitizing was a separate charge. My bill went from $45 to about $200. I don't think it was his fault but I feel that the online was misleading and there were hidden charges.
I would not recommend this company for several reasons. First of all the website is put together poorly and is confusing. It does not detail the hidden charges given to me at my appointment. Second and the biggest is the Representative Heather. She should not be in a position of customer service with an unprofessional demeanor like hers. Third is the tardiness which I also blame on Heather. Confirming a job one hour later than its scheduled start time is just perplexing. All in all, I do not recommend this company and have told my coworkers and family to avoid them.
