Siam has two locations. One on Lake Union and Broadway. I am partial to the Broadway location. I ave been going there for over 15 years and it has not changed in any way (except for the remodel around 2003) Pros: Food, Portions, Value Cons: Parking more

Best in town! 10/25/2008

I've visited countless Thai restaurants in and around Seattle, and nothing compares to Siam. The flavor of the food is excellent and the wait staff are always friendly. The garlic chicken dish, pad thai, and pad see eww are the best. Siam also has a great wine list with wines that really compliment many of the dishes. If you're looking for somewhere new to try this is it! Pros: Consistent food and service more

Not that good 8/9/2008

As another reviewer said, the food was ""just OK."" I got a stir-fry vegetable dish whose name I don't recall now. The veggies were cooked nicely and were crisp enough, but the pinwheel-sliced carrots reminded me of something from a kids menu, and the celery was an unusual choice of vegetable for a Thai dish. I don't think it blended well with the rest of the flavors. Service is quick, the prices are decent, and the place looks pretty nice, but overall it's just not worth it. Perhaps their other dishes are better, but I won't be coming back unless I happen to be in the neighborhood and must have Thai food right there and then... which is unlikely. I'd rather wait until I get home and go to Racha or Tup Tim Thai. Pros: Service is quick, the place looks nice, the ingredients are fresh Cons: Just not very good, compared to other Thai restaurants in the city more

Best Thai Food in Seattle 4/18/2008

I have to say that I eat a lot of Thai food, and Siam on Broadway makes the best Pad Thai in Capitol Hill. I have never eaten in the restaurant; I just order my food to go. It is always ready for pick-up in less than 15-minutes. The quality is the same every time. Siam on Broadway is much classier than your usual hole-in-the-wall Thai place. Pros: Quality. Service. Cons: Parking. more

best thai around! 10/23/2007

The noodle dishes here are my favorite! I have been coming to this place since 1991. The food is what keeps bringing me back. more

Just OK 6/5/2007

For a restaurant with such a great reputation, cooking the Pad Thai with ketchup is appalling. When asked the waitress claimed it's made with tomato. Hah, let's argue semantics. The deep fried Tofu was stale, in all fairness the portions were generous and the fish entrees were exceptionally fresh. My friend spotted the chef cooking with way too much sugar. I came up from Portland and my friend's from NY. On the whole a very average dining experience and a disappointment. In addition the service was just so-so. Pros: The fish entrees Cons: The Pad Thai- a staple in Thai restaurants more

Continued: Consistent!!!!!!! 10/22/2005

Checking in 13 months after my last review, Siam's on Broadway has undergone a nice remodel. The best aprt is, however, that the food remains excellent. I've not found anything yet to complain about, parking being the usual difficulty. Pros: Food, Complexity of Flavor, Take-Away Cons: No Parking more

Everything but the Curry 8/17/2005

Every Appetizer I had (Larb, Po Pia Sod, and Tom Kha) were decent if a little bit Laotian in flavor. The curry was way off, weak, salty and oily. Perhaps a visit to Bangkok For the Chef is in order. Pros: Norther Thai dishes Cons: Curries more

Still The Best 3/16/2005

I first came to Siam in 1990. Fifteen years later - it is still the best Thai food in town. In the early days, the counters were white and the space, small. Yet, even on chilly nights, it was always worth the wait and today's new remodel has made the restaurant look so beautiful! The food is classic and the garlic prawns are big and abundant. Unlike some restaurants that use a small amount of seafood and overprice the item on the menu - Siam is one that does not. Sandra and her family are the real Thai experience in Seattle. It's wonderful to know that I can come back here a decade later and the food is still mouth watering. Siam on Broadway - don't change what you are doing and keep serving up the awesome dishes that have made your restaurant an institution! Pros: Garlic Prawns, Lunch Specials, Fresh Rolls Cons: Parking more

Best Pad See Eew 1/4/2005

I went there for the first time a few months ago and ordered the pad see eew on a whim. I was pleasantly surprised and now am addicted to it! Place gets crowded at lunch so I suggest going early. Pros: prices, service more

Siam on Broadway 7/28/2004

What can I say about this restaurant, the food is great as well as the service. They have recently undergone a remodel and I love the new look. I highly recommend this restaurant for anyone that enjoys great Thai food. more

Can't Get Enough Hot N Spicy 3/8/2004

OK, let me get this out of the way...the service is pretty lackluster, you'll be lucky to get 10 words out of whomever is serving you. Otherwise, a fantastic place...I come here 15 times a year and I still get the same thing because it's so good: Hot N Spicy Noodles, 2 stars. The chicken satay is great too if you're sharing with someone. I suggest the Fairview location over the Broadway one; the Broadway one smells like wet dog. Really. If you go there, get your HotSpicy noodles to go. Yum yum! Pros: great great food, inexpensive, kitschy ambience Cons: , lackluster service more

will visit again 9/22/2003

Tried the pad thai w/prawns which was good but my preference is not to have it so saucy. and the fresh rolls were ok, but it can't compare to the ones at Indochine in Federal Way. i would have liked to have a lid on my rice bowl container to keep it hot, but it wasn't an oversight for our table, it's how they serve it. Overall, food was good and the portions were huge. As far as atmosphere, from the outside, the place looks like a real hole-in-the-wall but after you go inside and pass the counter seating it's better, still nothing fancy though. more

I LOVE this place! 4/7/2003

I have been going to this restaurant for about 13 years. It's one of my favorites, and I've had Thai food all over the Northwest. Their Tom Kah Gai is the best I've ever had. And their spring rolls with plum sauce are to-die-for! I absolutely love their special fried rice with the chinese sausage in it. I've never had anything I didn't like there. Highly recommend when you're hungry! Good portion sizes. Not fancy or elegant, but a great value and wonderful food. more

Best in Seattle 12/14/2002

Food is excellent! I especially like their seafood dishes. I've tried several other Thai restaurants in town and they don't match up to the quality of food here. more

Thai Terriffic! 8/20/2002

The best Thai in Seattle! My husband and I started going there during our ""dating"" years in college and have been regulars for over 10 years! We've started a new tradition with our 2 children. When we go out and tell them we're going for Thai, they know it'll be Siam! We love the chicken satay and beef panang! Pros: Atmosphere, Authentic Cons: No parking, Limited seating more
