Shur Brite Hi Speed Car Wash

Okay, let's begin. My brother-in-law told me about this place Shur Brite car wash that looked like something from the 1970s. He said try them out because they really do a great job on cars. So Saturday (8/31/13) I decided to give Shur Brite a try. On first appearance, I drove right by it, lol. The place looked like a dump, and nowhere I would want to take my car. But, I quickly turned around and decided to give them a try. My brother-in-law was right, they did a good job on cleaning my car. They wash and wax my car and it looked really good. I was very pleased with the job they did and promised to come back.\r \r Here is where disappointment set in. So let me digress a little bit and start from the beginning. Before I got out of my car, so they could clean it, l looked at my ashtray that was filled to the top with quarters. My first thought was to dump all of the change in my purse, but decided against it. Big Mistake!! When I saw my car after they finished washing and waxing, I was really pleased. On my drive home I notice the department that my ashtray sits in was closed. My first thought was they closed it so they could clean around it. So I opened it up to find just about all of my quarters were gone. Now I know most you are saying, you knew better and you are probably right. But in the past I have taking my car to other car wash places and no one has ever stolen anything out of it, while cleaning it. \r \r So, I guess the moral to my story is, "" you get what you pay for"". Yes the place is reasonable or is it really. Think about this. If they stole three or four dollar worth of change from my car, what else of more value are they stealing from other people? \r \r Anyway, I will not be recommending this place to any of my friends or colleagues. For all of you who continue to take your car to this place, make sure you remove everything in side and outside of your car that not glued down. I'm not saying all of the employees steal, but it only takes one to ruin it for them all more

I have used Shur-brite for years and in one instance of property damage and poor customer service they have lost a loyal customer. According to their record this is the second time I have taken my Honda accord through the wash. However the numerous amount of cars I have owned, were all wash by Shur-brite at some point. They tore the back quarter panel of my bumper off my car and cited there was previous damage so they will not pay for the repairs. They did not apologize or anything. Mr. Glen Smith all but avoided speaking and addressing me as a paying customer. He and the management staff were rude. Please see the picture of my car after a Shur-brite cleaning. more

The two brothers have been running the place for forty years. If you aren't happy, they will work on it until you are. Pros: Family run since 1964. Nice folks. Cons: Can be busy more

It started off to be a great experience--- The sales guys at the start of the line are great!! Adam helped us and he knew what we needed and was very nice!!Up until I got up to check-out to pay my balance. The lady at the front desk was rude and very unproffesional.To beat all she was very confrontational. They would have recieved one star until I asked to speak with the owner and he made up for it. He was very kind and he said he was sorry, so I gave his rating a boost ---to three stars average.It could have been a great experience had it not been for the rude toothless lady at the front desk!! The car ended up looking good. Pros: quick service, fairly priced, wonderful owner Cons: rude checkout!! more

Had used this business before with great success. Took auto in for detailing. Had 2 small spots on trunk had begun to oxidize from a brush car wash. Was told no problem they can take care of it. Picked up car & white gunk all around doors, trunk, hood, etc. They said was wax residue. Took it back 2 more times before learned they had used compound on the entire body and stripped the coating off the paint. Tried to cover it up by rewaxing. After 3 attempts to get problem solved gave up. Cost me $155 to have paint job ruined. more

I've used this carwash for years, because they do a great job. But get this: after about 250 washes, a mishap occurred. My rear wiper was knocked off the car. I didn't notice for a couple of days. Next time I was in the neighborhood, I dropped by to see if they might, by chance, lift a finger to address this issue.\r \r The manager unblinkingly offered to order a new wiper and said they would call when it came in. They did. When I went by to get it, the owner dropped everything, came out to my car and installed my new wiper. Then he told me to drive up and order a ""Super"" carwash on the house.\r \r You cannot beat this kind of responsible service, and you can barely find it anywhere these days. This is a great carwash. more

I took my Yukon over to get washed on my lunch hour a few months ago. They did a great job, and it was surprisingly quick. I've always been very picky about that wash jobs on my cars, especially with the Yukon since it is so big and the paint is black. Everything shows! They did a great job vacuuming the inside and wiping everything down, the car was filthy and hadn't been washed (sad to admit) in quite some time. However, I only get the basic wash at these types of car washes. When it comes to shampooing and waxing, this is done by a detailer. \r I will be taking my new Chrysler 300 to get washed today, which is also black. If for any reason my feelings toward this car wash change after today's visit, I will be sure to make an update! more

They were very careless in their cleaning. I had to go back twice to have them clean parts they forgot to clean including the dashboard. I was not happy with their cleaning considering I paid over $70.00. I will not go back there. Since I have had my car cleaned their, I have spoken with others who have had similar problems. more
