I am new to Saint Louis, so I currently don't have a designated hair salon in the city. I searched city search for the most highly recommended hair salon, and called a couple places to ask about prices and such, just by the way the other salons were talking to me completely turned me off. When I called shi, they talked to me, not at me. They also offered me a same day hair consultation. I sat down and spoke with a hair coloring specialist, she allowed me to spill all of my major questions and concerns, it felt like she was genuinly interested to talk to me. They have amazing talent, and are truly proffesionals, but even more then that, they really know how to run an all around welcoming business!! Pros: great service, great staff, atmosphere is beautiful, skill is off the charts. Prices are very reasonable. Cons: METER PARKING! more

My name is Chandra. I have been a faithful, once-a-week or bi-monthly client at Shi Salon for approximately 3 years or so, and I must admit, I am hooked. I recommend Marie and her staff to anyone who is seeking optimum haircare and cutting edge style. I must admit that I don't have the time, the patience nor the skill that is required to maintain my own hair. When I first started patronizing Shi Salon, I found it comforting that Marie took the time to evaluate my hair, and she advised me about products and styles that were best for me. At that time, (3 years ago) I told Marie that I was pretty much stuck in a hairstyle rut. Marie told me to trust her, and since I know that she takes trips to New York, L.A., and other big "style" cities just to keep abreast of the latest cuts and colors, not to mention how much stlye she has on her own, I did trust her. Now I can happily say that I have my own sense of stlye, and I love it. My kids always say, "mom your hair looks so nice." My fiancee says he's always eager to see just what Marie has created each time I visit Shi Salon. I love the relaxing atmosphere, the welcoming staff, and the extremely soothing shampoos.
