Always perfect! 11/30/2011

Shanti Salon never disappoints. I am a regular customer that popped in yesterday for a haircut. My regular stylist, Vincent, was not yet in but Emily had time for me. She provided me with a beautiful cut and I left as happy as could be. Shanti offers a long list of stylists and other professionals that provide excellent services. I plan on being a customer for a long time. By the way, Vincent does phenomenal hair color; especially if you are blonde. more

Waxing Services 11/28/2011

I have been going to see Genevie for waxing for a couple of years now, and have always had an amazing experience. She is quick (which is great for waxing!) and does a wonderful job. I would not trust my eyebrows with anyone else! more

Emily is great! 11/15/2011

This was my first time to Shanti and my first time for a haircut and foil with Emily. Truly, I got the best haircut and color I've had in years, decades even. I am not usually one to gush, but hair is a tricky thing... and it's so rewarding to find someone who knows it so well! The salon is welcoming, I love the Avenda focus, and besides being very talented, Emily is fun and easy to talk to. I'll be back-- thanks! (P.S.-- Sunday hours are much appreciated!) more

I always look forward to seeing Genevieve for my visits to Shanti Salon. She is professional and very personable and can get the job done fast! She is also all about the perfection and I swear she makes me look at least 5 years younger everytime I go for an eyebrow wax. Great service and lovely gal. more

Bummed 11/9/2011

I used to consider this my salon. After being served by someone new, I intend on going elsewhere. My hair is butchered and ill-fitted to my personal style. I wonder if the stylist heard me at all in regards to what I wanted, or if she bothered to look at me and my personal style. I feel like I got a cut that fits in a book somewhere, not something unique and personalized as I had received before. I also felt she was trying to sell me produts the whole time, and I left wondering how much comission she receives when she succeeds in selling products. Bummer, Shanti Salon! I really liked you. You're in my neighborhood. Next time (months from now, when I have hair again), I'll try the training school on Capitol Hill. I'd rather go to a novice, who maybe will be less focused on the bottomline. Hair is personal. Where's the love? more

The atmosphere is wonderful. The people are terrific. The prices are affordable. My daughter has had bad $$$ NYC haircuts fixed here (on her visits home). I get the world's best foils here (there's no need to go downtown or anywhere else in West Seattle). more

A risk worth taking! 10/27/2011

I was nervous to try a new salon. After all, my hair doesn't magically grow back like Barbie! When I popped in to take a look around, I was greeted by Emily who went out of her way to make me feel comfortable, giving me a tour, asking me about my needs, "If you tell me what you're looking for, we'll make sure you're paired with the best match." I knew then that I had already found the best match. I'm super shy about telling stylists if I'm unhappy with something, but Emily made it super easy to communicate concerns. By the end, I wasn't sure about my hair, but honestly felt I was just having a bad hair day. Emily assured me that I could return in a day or two if I wasn't happy. The next morning when I woke up, my hair had chilled out and looked exactly like what I wanted. :) more

Excellent Service! 10/21/2011

I walked in without an appointment on a Thursday night for a shampoo/blowdry and they were able to get me right in. They threw in a complimentery scalp massage and my "do" was exactly what I wanted! Great job Emily!!!! more

Erica saved the day! I tried to do an "in-between" salon visit root touch up that caused my blonde hair to tint purplish-grey. Erica fit me in her schedule, provided sound consultation and went to work! She spent the time to ensure I was happy and worked with me until I was satisfied with the results. Erica is knowledgeable, professional, and provides amazing customer service. more
