Great experience with this salon 2/8/2012

Box colored my hair, turned into a disaster so I walked into shanti where I was greeted by a young woman asking ifi needed help. I was embarrassed to explain my situation but I asked about scheduling a color with someone. Turns out she's a stylist there and we chatted about my hair. Not only was she happy to talk, she actually took me to her chair and educated me on box color vs. professional color, and we came up with a plan to fix my hair. I came in the following weekend and was provided with a fun, humorous, relaxing experience with my new stylist. Oh did I mention how much I LOVE my hair and my new home care package! I will most definitely be recommending Sarah to all my friends! more

Competent Emily 1/25/2012

I walked in with a haystack kitchen-scissor-chopped haircut. I should have been wearing a paper bag over my head. A $20 first time coupon was awaiting me but better than that: Emily, hairdresser extraordinaire. She's been cutting hair for 28 years and needed all of her skill to repair my damage! She conditioned my hair, spent lots of time cutting it exactly as I asked her to, coached me in hair care and styling tips and displayed great generosity in sharing her knowledge which is very substantial. Kudos to Emily: you are my new go to hair guru. more

Most relaxing experience in West Seattle! 1/15/2012

I walk by this salon frequently as I work down the street, recently I decided to stop in and check it out, grab a menu and feel the vibe. It's a small, cute spot with fashionable people and a great atmosphere. I decided to set up a cut and color for the following week! I went in on a Friday morning where I met Sarah who gave me a relaxing scalp massage followed by a through consultation actually listening to what I DIDN'T like! On top of it I recieved a hot towel AND hand massage while I was getting a shampoo. At the end of my service I was not only extremely pleased with my service but I knew I found my new gal! Turns out, she's the new talent at Shanti and her passion really shows! Pre booked my next appointment and I am looking forward to it. more

I recieved very poor service at your salon. I exited the room with tiny white balls from the exfoliating product I would guess, left on my face around my eyes. The technician replied "that happens sometimes". I also noticed in the rear view mirror when I got in my car, that there was product on my face that I had to rub in to my skin. more

Great Color, Bad Cut 1/15/2012

Vincent is a wonderful colorist. He is fast, thorough and keeps consistently making me happy. His cuts are good, but he has, this far, lacked from asking me what style of haircut I want. His edgy, hip, super cool style, just isn't the natural feminine style that I typically like. more

Pretty good... 1/11/2012

I came here for a massage, and as Aveda salons go, it has all of the trademark qualities - good smells, delicious tea, a relaxing environment. The staff was nice. I had a massage, and treated myself to the hot rocks as well. Overall, it was pretty good, but I felt like the hot rocks weren't worth the extra money. I would have preferred to have the extra hands on time, particularly on my face and shoulders at the end. I've had many massages elsewhere, and I like it when they tell you to take your time to get up when it's over. Here I was informed very nicely that they would be back shortly, leaving me 2-3 minutes tops to get up and get dressed. Overall it was pretty good, and I would still recommend them. more

Outstanding Service 12/31/2011

I cannot say enough good things about Monique. She has a warm personality, is courteous, professional and extremely knowledgeable. She listens to what you would like, makes good constructive suggestions and follows through. I trust her totally. Everyone in the salon is warm and friendly to every customer. Makes you feel you are with family. I love Shanti and will refer all I know. more
