The faded, outdated prints on the wall affect the ambience. (I've talked to both the featured photographer AND the owner about this years ago, still no changes!).
Overall though, it's a good location (Ocean Blvd, a few blocks from the heart of the East Village Arts District). Nice free parking for customers.
Very pleased with the food and service but they should be open later on the weekends. (It COULD be packed like the Shorehouse Cafe on 2nd street after tha bars close).
Pros: parking, location, hearty "diner" meals
