Ripped a hole in my spare tire 8/20/2012

Found a nail in my tire that was really making it low Sunday afternoon. This was the only place I could find that could patch it before closing. \r They patched the tire fine but the serviceman wanted to switch out the spare, which was a better tire but on a different kind of rim from the others. In the process of removing the spare from the rim, the technician ripped a hole in the sidewall, making it useless. So now I have to find another spare tire. more

Great Customer Service 9/22/2011

I have had work and called for advise and mechanical planning. I was helped by a Steven Brown who was very knowledgable and needed to look-up some information and call me. He called me within 5 minutes. I have read a few other reviews -- and I have 2 cars that I take to Sears and have not had any issue. It can be a mad house at times - and who on earth believes a Auto shop should be CLEAN? I highly recommend this location for service. more

car stolen from sears 6/2/2011

dropped my car off for an oil change, and Bradley Simmons of sears(the perp) was doing donuts in my car 30 min after I dropped it off. Little did he know, I was sitting in the parking lot watching him. I then witness him get pulled over, and have the police report to prove it. What did sears do to correct this u ask....NOTHING. The general manager of sears told me it is "against their policy" to talk to the public about employees. She wouldnt even tell me if Bradley Simmons was working when he stole my car. What a joke, dont waste your time dealing with these convicts, go to a real auto center. more

DO NOT GO HERE! 11/1/2010

WORST PLACE EVER. VERY DISHONEST. Went to get a new battery however when they installed it, they battery was bad and fried my computer in my car. Went back to Sears to have them fix it and they refused. Treated me like I was an idiot and degraded me in front of other customers. I will never go back there. I strongly suggest you do not go either! more

Great customer service 5/13/2010

Not sure what these folks saw but I have always been given great customer service when I go to not only the Lake forest location but the Bethesda location as well.Great folks always try to take care of me in a very fair and polite attitude.I highly recommend going there.At times they seem to get busy but what service shop doesnt,I always try to be patient and understanding. more

So unprofessional 4/24/2008

I went there because I had a nail in my tire. You're supposed to drive right into the garage for repair, but the garage door was down, so I had to park and search around for someone first. They told me it would take an hour and they would call my cell when it was ready, so I shopped in the area while they worked on it. More than an hour and a half went by and they never called, so I went back over there. The car was done, but they couldn't find it anywhere in their computer system, so it took a couple guys looking in different computers until they finally found it. One of them literally had a mouthful of pizza while he was talking to me. The bill was $29.99 and he said, "You don't need the penny, do you?" Not that I needed the penny, but I thought the question was unprofessional. This place was also filthy and disorganized. When I left there, I was praying that they bolted my tire back on correctly. terribly dishonest 5/24/2007

We went in because of a bad flat, and had to buy two tires.\r They recommended we rotate and balence the tires, and have an alignment done. We also asked them to check the brakes.\r The price was higher than it needed to be. But not mind-boggling.\r \r However....\r Their estimates and bills are just prices, they arn't broken down or labelled. They preformed an unnecessary, unrequested, expensive oil change and tried to charge us for it. They recommended $550 worth of brake work, only half of which was necessary when the dealership checked the brakes later.\r And just to wrap it all off, 2 weeks later my car failed the state inspection, because the rear right strut nut (where my flat was) was broken off. The mechanic said it was recently done, in the last few weeks. The Sears people who did it probably did it accidently, but there was "no way" they could have not seen it. But they should have told me, and they should have fixed it. And they NEVER should have done the alignment without it be more
