I walked through the door of Saputo's in 1972', looked at my wife, said I'm\r home. Best Italian restaurant ever. I moved in about 2009, but anytime I am close to Springfield Il, I go there to eat. Never been disappointed. I ran into a fellow in Kalispell, Mt that ask me where I was from, I told him Il. And he said, I want to tell you about the best Italian Restaurant ever, I looked at him said ""Saputo's in Springfield, Il. He said ""your damn right.""\r Love that place. more

We had a group of friends together and visited Saputo's- my husband and I dine there quite ferquently so all of the group had dinner there and my friends really enjoyed the dinner. They had baked lasagna, a few had breaded filet. My favorite is the Halibut. Everyone that works there are so enjoyable to visit, they make you feel right at home. The food is awesome that's why we keep going to our favorite Italian restaurant! Definitely a 5 star rating! more

My family gives Saputo's a ""5"" star rating. We were in town from Chicago for the Lincoln exhibits, and wanted a locally named restaurant not a chain. Six of us walked in without a reservation and only had a short wait. Our server was helpful in selecting wine from the extensive wine list. And though we came in for the pizza and pasta, we had the best filets we have ever had. Next time we are in Springfield, we will be back for sure. more

Saputo's is a great place. I love Big Franks salad dressing. Its not fancy but really good. People that complain about price are just cheap. They have great dinners that include salad. Best place! more

My wife and I have eaten here several times. It is conveniently located near downtown hotels and offers superb Italian cuisine in a friendly family atmosphere. The Coffey family goes out of their way to see that guests receive promp, high quality service and their attention to detail is second to none. You will not be disappointed with this choice for dining in Springfield! more
