Saint Sabrina's Parlor in Purgatory

We went into Sabrina's one evening knowing exactly what we wanted to buy - a simple lip ring - and exactly what size we needed. Four employees were present. One said she could not open the jewelry cases and we'd have to talk to another employee. A second employee was busy at a counter with a clipboard and could not glance up from it even for a moment to make eye contact with a customer waiting patiently one foot away from her - could not simply say "I'll be with you as soon as I can." A third employee did offer to help us but almost immediately offended us by saying "Don't touch your lip ring in the store" even though she had asked what size my companion wanted and my companion was demonstrating by touching HER OWN lip ring on HER OWN body. A fourth employee just watched the entire 15-20 minutes we were in the store. Granted, the store was busy. We were willing to wait our turn and we did wait. But SOME effort should be made to acknowledge waiting customers' presence. And I don't understand the rude "Don't touch your lip ring." Is it a policy not to let customers touch their own possessions? If so, is it also a policy to advise them rudely of the first policy? St. Sabrina's is a business like any other and should care about customer service. (In fairness I will add that other times we've been at Saint Sabrina's the service has been good. What's up?) more

Ready to get my first tattoo, I asked around for the best tattoo artists in Minneapolis, and St. Sabrina's was always mentioned. I went in and had a brief consultation with a tattoo artist and made an appointment for that afternoon. A little anxious as it was my first tattoo, a friend agreed to go along with me and get one herself. My artist was Mike "The Face" and he was great. It was relatively quick and painless, and I love my tattoo. After mine was finished I went in with my friend to watch as she got hers. Her artist, Bleach, kept us entertained as he worked, and my friend loved her tattoo as well. We are slowly planning our next trip to St. Sabrina's. more

A friend and I decided to go get tattoos (it was raining and we were bored and kind of egged each other on). It was her first and my third. She got a recommendation for Saint Sabrina's and we were both thrilled with the results. Bleach was my tattoo artist and I love his work. I get complements all the time. The lines are crisp and the design is sick. I'm already planning on talking my friend into going back with me for my next one. more

I decided to get a peircing so I asked my friends where they had gotten their needlework done. All of them said Saint Sabrina's. I asked one of them why, and they told me it was one of the few places that takes the time to make everything safe and sanitary. The staff is very professional, helpful and calming when they have a needle pointed at you. Haven't gotten a tattoo there, but I imagine it's got the same reputation for quality. more

Saint Sabrina's is the place to go if you're looking to get some crazy piercing or tattoos done. They're even open late(till 10 or midnight), which adds to their "dark" setting. Downstairs you can shop for clothes and accessories, and upstairs is where you would find the and tattoo section of the store. more
