I have eaten here several times and I've really enjoyed it. The food is excellent, the sushi fresh and delicious, and the service friendly and efficient. The prices are low and i...

Worst

The food I've had was great every time: spinach gomai, kimchee, hamachi kama, futomaki, Asian salads, but single diners beware: the chefs won't shout a ""welcome/hello"" greeting ...

NASTY SUSHI EVER.......... 3/21/2008

I have been working as a sushi chef for couple years, only in this place i felt guilty to all the customer every time they ate sushi there(RUSAN at Windy Hill) It was my BIG..big mistake working there making a sushi. The fish is CHEAP QUALITY ,some is frozen, and the worst part is... i don't even know how fresh the fish that they have. It was so nasty and old...!! some part of the fish that suppose to be not to use it , they just used it!! who ever run that place..seem doesn't care, they just want to make money..and money..so cheap...really cheap people! Now i know why the price is so cheap..... Talking about buffet that they have..ugh...none of them is fresh!! they prepare a night before!! that's not include if they have left over buffet, they always use it again for the next buffet!! ugh.... Some of the chef even worst...!! They drop fish on the floor and still used it !! I do apologize to all customers during the time i working there...Thanks to the God, i just worked there for 3 weeks...now i can sleep well without thinking if there any customer get sick from the sushi that i make in there!! once again...sorry guys!! Pros: nasty Cons: nasty more

WORST SUSHI I'VE EVER HAD!!! I will never return. 9/11/2007

Working in the area, I decided to give this location at 2313 Windy Hill Road, Marietta, a try. What a HUGE mistake!!!! Pros: Not a single one! Cons: Everything!! Food, service, ambience, temperature of the restaurant, temperature of the food, and everything else is bad. more

WORST EVER 7/20/2007

I meet 2 friends for dinner. We ordered and ate, not knowing they had a sushi bar. Another friend joined us and ordered the bar. Not familiar with sushi, I was helping him make choices at the bar. The second time around I helped again, not noticing a Asian lady following us. When we sat down, I tried 1 of his. (She was watching and following us while we got our food) She then walk to my table, with a loud voice. Saying not to go to the sushi bar with him and not to taste each others food. (But isn't that what you do with new food) The service was also bad, never cleared our table when we where done. I'm a sushi lover but ,the food could have been better, it was just ok. The prices could have been lower for the level of food it was. WORST EVER,,,DON""T GO Pros: location Cons: bad serivce and someone watching you more

Saturday Sushi Buffet! 4/5/2007

I've been to this place hundreds of times and the service is never good. The only great thing about it is their dollar sushi menu; which has at least 30+ choices for 6-8 piece sushi. The best time to go is Saturdays during lunch when they have their all you can eat sushi buffet for $10! They have other things besides sushi on the buffet, but if you like sushi you'll like the variety they put out. The scene can be young a trendy, because of the techno music ALWAYS playing, but it often times brings a mixed crowd that's usually loud and crowded. Pros: Saturday buffet & $1 sushi selection Cons: Service, Loud and Crowded at Night more

WOULD NOT RECOMMEND 3/8/2007

My wife and I just moved to Atlanta from Chicago. We called the Ru San's at Buckhead for directions. An individual with an accent kept telling us that it was ""near Piedmont and Peachtree, turn left."" Pros: see paragraph Cons: see paragraph more

Average sushi, good and upbeat atmosphere, rude staff 3/8/2007

Average sushi at best but with good presentation. Good tempura and chicken items. It has an upbeat music tempo (house/dance type and loud). Pros: The food is good for the price. Cons: The staff is rude (at least in the Buckhead location). more

Plenty Good Enough 6/2/2006

This is the weakest Rusan's in Atlanta, but it's still a good value for good sushi ($1/piece of most nigiri/sashimi). I've not been during a weekday lunch rush, and seating was prompt enough. Service does vary a bit, in my experience between average and very good. It's been quieter and less crowded than the other Rusan's locations, and that's a very nice contrast sometimes, as the noise levels of the Midtown & Buckhead locations can be a bit much. AND, unlike nearly every other Japanese restaurant (in Atlanta? in the world?) Rusan's doesn't close between lunch and dinner times. Pros: great value, good quality, hours Cons: weakest Rusan's more

Not the Pork Kotsu Dan 3/20/2006

Our waiter was not very good at explaining portion size. The appetizers were good but the Pork Kotsu Dan was awful. All that I saw was a big bowl of rice with crumbled egg and soggy, tasteless fried pork. I did not touch the meal but paid full price for it. I will definitely not recommend this establishment for dinner but appetizers, maybe. more

Love it! 3/12/2006

I have lived in the Marietta area for about 3 years and this Ru San's has remained on my speed dial. The food, the service i believe is better here than at many of the other locations. I usually go for dinner or have take out, and I am rarely (if ever) dissatisfied. more

This RuSans is NOT GOOD! 9/21/2005

I am normally a HUGE fan of RuSans. I eat at the one near Ansley Mall as much as possible and so when i found out there was one by my work in Marietta, i was exstatic... Key word being ""was"". It took about 10 mins for us to get seated, the servers acted like we weren't even there. Thank God we were getting the lunch buffett b/c i don't think we would have ever gotten any food. Speaking of the buffett, it was gross. They took their own sweet time restocking it, a lot of times there were no plates (so you stood there until someone brought them) I was COMPLETELY disappointed and will not return to that location. Pros: price, parking Cons: quality of the food, SLOW service more

You can get full off of sushi 8/11/2004

I love RuSan's sushi bar. When you come in, you are greeted with shouts (I don't know what they are saying I must admit). Saunter up to the bar and you are showered with salads and appetizers. They have a ""salad"" made of cucumbers and a soy-like sauce that I enjoy. My favorites are the eel, California rolls (not really sushi, but they still taste good), and the tuna rolls (has a nice, spicy sauce). If you don't like raw fish, RuSan's also has hot foods - fried rice and a tasty tempura for example. Pros: Good Parking more
