Best plumbing experience in Virginia Beach, Va. We used A-1 Sewer plumbing a little over a month ago and paid 750$ to have our pipes cleaned due to a sewage back up in our recently purchased home. They were sloppy and after telling me they were charging me 750$ at the end of my service, they also were going to charge me an additional 30$ to use my credit card. A month later we had the same issue occur and we called them hoping it would be covered after only 35 days and they said, ""sorry, we don't warranty our services for cast iron pipes."" We then attempted to contact Michael and Son's plumbing and after having a scheduled 4 hour window set for a week (which I took off work for) they called and tried to cancel at the last minute because they were ""running behind"" after they called and said they were on there way 2 hours earlier. We finally took a friends suggestion and called Roto-Rooter out of Virginia Beach and it was the best decision we've made since we've purchased our home. The service woman over the phone was pleasant and understanding. They sent a technician out right away (on a Friday night at 4pm) and our technician Steven Kirkland was absolutely amazing. We honestly couldn't have asked for a better service. Thank you Roto-Rooter! I will definitely be recommending you to all my friends! more

I called Roto-Rooter and the next day they were here as promised.Shawn was a true pro gave me a quote before starting work on our downstairs toilet.He told me the price also included putting a camera down the pipe to make sure the septic line was clean and because of past problems to make sure the line was not damaged.The total job cost me what someone else wanted just to put a camera down the line.THANKS. more

01/11/2015 I came home this morning around 0815 and found ice covering my driveway. My friend took me into my bedroom to hear the water running in the wall from the faucet outside my bedroom. I looked in the phone book and called. Kyle Harris Tech #1014 came as promised around 930-1000 am. He looked at the wall detected the problem, explained what needed to be done and the cost and how long. He left to get some more material for the repair and returned promptly. He was very professional. The price for the repair was very reasonable and he honored the senior citizen discount that was advertized in the phone book. more

Christmas morning found our drains completely stopped, we spent a day trying old methods without any luck. On the day after, we called Roto-Rooter and Shawn Prunty showed up within the hour. Had Shawn Prunty out to my house in Virginia Beach today to help with a clogged pipe, which was causing the sink to overflow when I did laundry. He was very knowledgeable and in less than an hour, the pipe was unclogged. He also explained some monthly maintenance we can do that should help prevent future clogs. Very happy with quick service. Had Lee Huffman #1141 at my house to install main shut off value and an ice maker line and value. Installer was very professional and knowledgable. I have all copper tubing in this house. Main line is 3/4 inch and required cutting and sweating in new ball value shut off. Then he also installed a 3/4 inch pex tee with a 1/2 inch pex line over to the kitchen area and the icemaker hook up value. Working under the house in the crawl space he was very neat and thorough. All of this was necessary to replace a saddle value and clear plastic line installed in 1982. Great job by Lee. Will continue to use him and Rotor-Rooter in the future. more

We attempted to fix the problem ourselves - plunged the toilet, snaked the drain but nothing worked. Called Roto-Rooter before noon and Shawn Prunty was at our home, on a Saturday at 3:30pm. He was friendly, knowledgeable, and explained the problem with our main line. He also gave us recommendations for preventative measures.
