Rainbow Taxi

Last night I was on my way home after the bars in Mpls. I was the desiginated driver, not a drop to drink. Cab #304 tailgated me, Only a few inches away. He flashed his high-beam lamps several times, honked at me and almost cut me off trying to get around me. I was going 5 mph over the speed limit and entering an exit ramp. STILL not fast enough for him. He finally passe me after exiting the ramp and then cut close in front of me as he speed away. If you value your life don't use this company! more

I called a cab for my friends and me at 1:20AM last night. I understand that is bar close, and thus a busy time for cabs and cab drivers, however there is no excuse for what happened. When bar close came at 2AM and we were kicked out I called the cab company again to be told that it would be another twenty minutes. When the cab hadn't come at 230, I called again. This went on until nearly 4 in the morning. Meanwhile, my friend was physically assulted. When I called the cab company to say we were fearful for our safety and to please send a cab ASAP, they hungup on us. We finally called another company and they were able to help us. Rainbow called me back after we had been picked up asking why we were not outside waiting. When I started explaining the situation, the cab driver started yelling at me. So rude. more

I was driving down the freeway when I noticed this Rainbow taxi cab. The car was weaving across all three lanes of traffic. I called their dispatcher, thinking they might take that driver off the road. He told me to call the complaint number and hung up. Cons: Drunk drivers more

We called to get a ride and they wouldn't listen to us and hung up when we tried to tell them we didn't need the ride for another hour. They called when they were here and we told them we didn't need the ride yet and put us on the no call list. They were very rude and unprofessional. Rainbow is great because you can talk directly with the driver to get a status update for real time arrival. They are the best Minneapolis taxi. Pros: The drivers all have cell phones Cons: They are in demand because they are good more

I use taxi services in the Twin Cities on an every other day basis, at all times of the day/night. This service, after calling Suburban, etc., is always the quickest to pick me up. Not only that, they have arrived MANY times in 5 minutes after waiting 30 minutes for other services. They also don't make you prattle off your phone number, because they apparently are the only cab company that can read a Caller ID display..... They are the only cab company that even answers their phone 1/2 of the time... Pros: Fast, dependable, reliable... Cons: None yet... more

This company is ridiculous! I called three times asking if I could get a taxi and I had a coupon. The person on the phone said they are not valid and wouldn't tell me why! He hung up every time and told me to call back when I was ready for a taxi. Bullshit! more

don't call this taxi Co. They won't come. If you call to ask what happened, their crazy dispatcher will imagine you are insulting him personally, cancel your cab and hang up on you. more

Do not ever use this taxi company! We approached cab #303 and asked him to give us a ride. He told us no. We asked him what he meant and he said ""F*ck off,"" and drove away. We called the company dispatch and were hung up on repeatedly. Eventually, using a different phone, we got through, and I was told that the dispatcher's name was ""none of my business"" and he told me a number to call with complaints. I left a message on the complaint line, but am fairly certain that no one received it. This cab company is horrible! A driver did a u- turn in the middle of a city block causing him to run me down on my bike. I called up the cab company and the dispatch guy told me to go f myself. Seriously that is what he told me. Tried calling up the managers who were rude and not helpful. Basically to get any result out of this (that cab driver off the road) I had to call 911 after the fact, they shuffled me off to the dmv and the dmv is telling me to deal with the cab company. I was not hurt thankfully, but I expect something more than the cab driver telling me if he sees me again he is gonna run me over again. Any one still want to use this service? When we called the cab to bring us downtown, they refused to believe our address was in the city we said it was. When we tried to call a rainbow cab to leave downtown, we were told it would be 20 minutes. An hour and ten minutes later, we got a cab. Since it was a busy saturday night, the long wait was understandable. When we told the driver the address, he said, ""It doesn't seem right to me, but we'll see when we get there."" Uh hello? Does he think we don't know our own address? I understand if it was a busy night and it was hard to get a cab. I don't understand why the driver gave us a hard time when we told him our address. When he dropped us off, he said, ""Don't try that again."" He made us feel like our 10 minute cab ride was a huge hassle (even though he got a big tip) and thought we told him the wrong address. From the Marquette I needed to go to Target HQ. The first cab refused to take me. It was nice out so I walked. After my metting I took the catwalks to the Lemeriden hotel to meet a friend. I needed to go to the airport afterwards so I had the bellman flag yet again another Rainbow cab across the street. When I refused to get in they flaged a yellow cab and they began to fight. The driver thew my luggage in his trunk and things were getting heated. I really needed to leave so I got in. Next thing the damn cab broke down on the highway. I missed my flight and waited three hours for the next. I missed my sons birthday! When I called the manager and told him what took place he yelled at me for wating his time. -Next time I'm renting a car. Cons: , smelly more
