i love this Cuban restaurant there coffee is the best also i like there food but i guess other people that have not been to Miami that often and also that they don't live here ...

Worst

Sure it may be some good cuban food, but the service given at the place is the worst! I mean there was this one waitress who would scream everytime she went from the dinning area ...

this place has been in miami-beach forever.\r i allways thought the food was pretty good\r one of the last times my chicken milanese was only o.k. (i had a better one somewhere else in miami where it was $5 cheaper)\r but the last time i went with 3 friends i did not like my food at all (i had the chicken liver) i allways used to like it and none of my friends did like their dishes\r i`m afraid to go back !\r like davids cafe i feel this place is slipping \r please bring it back to where it once was more

This place was awesome! Very authentic Cuban food! Everything was extremely delicious, especially the masa de puerco frita (fried pork chunks) and the ropa vieja (shredded beef)!! AMAZING! the only disappointment, the seafood paella... However I would come back here again and again!!! more

Forget all that Ocean Drive nonsense. Nearby is this shabby but stunningly tasty Cuban delight. Such great value for the taste. Love it. more

Editorial review from Urbanspoon 7/5/2009

Wow!!! This not only the best Cuban food I have ever had, it's the only Cuban resturant were the waiters were not rude and obnoxious. Their service was extremley fast, food was very well prepares and guess what 15% gratuity tip was not automatically put on the tab. There's a concept Miami, you want to have great service then make the serving staff earn it. In short if your staying in South Beach this is a must no matter how long the line is. more

Good food, Stoic staff 7/2/2009

The the whole menu is not to die for, but some dishes are totally worth the indifferent service expeience. Don't come here to get charmed come here for the pernil or ropa vieja with some rice and black beans more

Editorial review from Urbanspoon 4/11/2009

Great location and the food they won't disapoint. Within beach budget won't break the bank. more

Editorial review from Urbanspoon 2/23/2009

We enjoyed the restaurant, even though the menu had as many American dishes as it did Cuban. The Mariscados was good-easily enough for two. The Espeesso Cubano will give you a boost & is highly recomended. more

Good food, bad and I mean bad service. 2/16/2009

Sure it may be some good cuban food, but the service given at the place is the worst! I mean there was this one waitress who would scream everytime she went from the dinning area where the tables are to the counter. God knows why she's screaming as if she were outdoors. She was rude, did not smile one bit, and gave attitude from time to time. If i decide to go back and eat there again, I'm going to try to get her name because the day I went with my friends she did not have a name tag. Honestly, if I ran this restaurant I would have fired her a long time ago. Pros: Good food Cons: Bad service and ambience more

My opinion about Puerto Sagua 1/27/2009

i love this Cuban restaurant there coffee is the best also i like there food but i guess other people that have not been to Miami that often and also that they don't live here the love to talk trash about places they only have gone like 1 time so here goes my opinion never judge a place by its looks and by the way if you go to a Cuban place why would you want to order salad thats not there specialty if you want salad go to pollo tropical or outback steakhouse. Pros: absolutely love the place i live so close to it( LoL) Cons: no cons more

worst cuban food and dumb wait staff 10/27/2008

we came because of the great review but the food is the worst cuban food. both chicken and beef Empanada were as dry as beef jerkies. the salad were plain and stale. how can anyone recommand this nasty place. please spend your money somewhere else!!!!!! more

Editorial
  • The fluorescent-lit interior might be shabby and the food is far from fancy, but Puerto Sagua has been a South Beach favorite since opening in 1962. In the morning, locals congregate at the bar...
