Best

i love this Cuban restaurant there coffee is the best also i like there food but i guess other people that have not been to Miami that often and also that they don't live here ...

Worst

Sure it may be some good cuban food, but the service given at the place is the worst! I mean there was this one waitress who would scream everytime she went from the dinning area ...

Great coffee, especially the cappuccino. Omelettes were good as well as the French Toast. Great service. Definitely a great diner. more

Okay. This is not Red - The Steakhouse. It is a local joint in every sense of the word. It's always packed but they always seem to find a place for you since turnover is quick. For great Cuban comfort food at a remarkably reasonable price, you can't go wrong at Puerto Sagua. more

terrible..the waitress was so rude and the food was overpriced. i ordered a cuban sandwich and it was not good and not worth the price. i had my daughter who is 19 months and i ordered her a grilled cheese and they literally brought me toast with un-melted cheese in between it? i would never go back what a horrible experience. more

I don't know much about dropping 1000 US on dinner in south beach so I stick with what works if I even get to south beach anymore! I just feel like I haven't arrived in Miami until I hit this. I get what everyone complains about like below this post.... but service ain't what it used to be anywhere. I never stop to think much about it since I never get to stop talking on the phone so I kinda like laid back service anyway. more

PS used to have the best oxtail stew on Sundays and scrumptoius chicharrones - But lately, the service and food has been mediocre and not worth the price. They got ahead of themselves w/the celeb factor and forgot how to cook. more

I went with some friends from out-of-town to show them good Cuban food. I had some roast chicken with rice and black beans... and it was the best roast chicken I've had, period. There were no complicated seasons, just tender, succulent, crispy-skinned chicken. Delicious. The waiter was very polite and the food was pretty quick coming out to the table, despite the fact that it was the crowded lunch hour. The tres leches and Cuban coffee rounded out a very pleasant eating experience. more

hi. i have been many times, and always find it filthy. last time i went the bathroom was horrible! A kitchen worker went right up to the disgusting urinal lifted his apron, pressed himself against the urinal (apron in urinal), dropped apron back down and walked out without washing..i also walked out.. before ordering. more

GOOD FOOD! 2/18/2010

I just had lunch here! The food is delicious! I will recommend sharing a dish if you are not that hungry to eat everything a dish comes with. Pros: food Cons: misses a little light in the interior more

Do not eat here if you're looking for an authentic Cuban meal... This is simply a tourist trap, you won't find good Cuban food anywhere on Miami Beach. Closest spot would be Las Vegas on 71st & Collins. more

Came here because it was recommended by Urban Spoon and other people I talked to as a great Cuban place. It was good for what it was, but I didn't feel like I was getting any great cultural dining experience. It was very busy though, so maybe the rest of Miami knows something that I don't. more

Editorial
  • The fluorescent-lit interior might be shabby and the food is far from fancy, but Puerto Sagua has been a South Beach favorite since opening in 1962. In the morning, locals congregate at the bar...
