The first time I set my eyes on Polished Beauty Lounge, I was in Aw! I had not ever seen a ""nail salon"" look so, well, polished!It's the great lengths ,owner Selam Welde, went to make this place so inviting that, will allow Polished Beauty Lounge to service Atlanta for many years to come. more

The girls in my Troop decided they wanted to have a spa day to reward themselves for their community service efforts throughout the school year. We paid a deposit and everything to have the salon open early to serve them...but no one ever showed up. When I called the owner's cell she answered the first time then the call mysteriously disconnected. When I tried back several times she never answered eventually sending me to voicemail every time after. My girls' were in tears..... Pros: Nothing Cons: We never made it inside more

WOW! WOW! This place is a princess Paradise!!! Clean,sanitary and entertaining. Besides getting excellent manicure and pedicure,i was really impressed with the staff...very accommodating and pleasant to chat with. The owner does a great job of stocking up on cute accessories like jewelry,purses,and clothes. The prices were incredibly affordable, just little more but totally worth it. It is a week later and my polish has NO CHIP. I am totally sold on POLISHED for life. Pros: clean,sanitary, and entertaining more

First, I think all people should realize just because you have the money to own a business doesn't necessairly mean you need to. Owner was one of the nastiest coniving person I ever met in my life. I hosted a spa party there and no one greeted my guest, or try to make them feel comfortable or welcome.Then when I got there she saw me bringing decorations in and I had to go greet her. She left during the party and whisper something in the young lady ear. When I was ready to check out she charged me an extra 165.00 and could not explain where it came from. My guest asked questions about the different services and she told them to look on the internet to see how the procedures were done. I will never spend my money here again. Finally! a savior of all nail salons!!!! Have you ever wonder how it felt like to walk into a salon without walking out feeling like you've inherited ten bazillion foot diseases from spa chairs with jets??? Well, fear not because i think i have found the ultimate salon without jets in the foot bath Polished. I' am definitely going to make it back as often as possible because of the great quality service and price. Also the owner is a sweetheart and the techs were super nice and friendly. I LOVE POLISHED! I've gotten manicures in many other places and this is the first place I have ever returned to. The staff is well-trained, efficient, pleasant. If you want to carry on a conversation while you are being worked on, the staff is very friendly - if you want a private, relaxing experience (alone time) then the staff will accomodate. They take their cue from the customer, which I think is excellent training! My mani always lasts at least a week with no chipping, my pedi lasts many weeks. Because they are so good, they are very busy, but have always accomodated me in a very timely manner regardless of whether I just stop in and ask what time I can be seen or whether I call in advance and schedule a time. I feel very strongly that the cooperative and pleasant attitude one walks in with is the attitude that will be returned to you at Polished. I am now a regular bi-weekly customer if I have the time, monthly if I get too busy. Pros: Clean, friendly, knowledgeable Cons: Would prefer chairs to bench more

I've been to Polished several times now and every single time the front desk staff greets me with a stuck-up attitude and they seem put out that I didn't make appointments (I always went during the weekday). I have waited over an hour before, even during the week when the place was not busy. I don't recall ever seeing the manager or front desk staff smile or ask how my services were going - they certainly NEVER apologized for my wait and every time I've gone, I've had to wait. Once they suggested I walk around to the various shops while I waited so I did. I came back about 10 minutes later than they suggested and they actually put me BACK at the bottom of the list. I told the lady that I was never coming back b/c I didn't think that was fair and she just looked at me, square in the face. No comment, nothing. So I said ""okay, this is me leaving.."" and I gave her one more moment to make things right and she just stood there. It's too bad that those girls who are in the SERVICE industry don't care about providing good service. I will never go back. Unless of course I saw an ""Under New Management"" sign on the front door. I love this place! I have been going to Polished for the past year and you can't really top the quality of service . My mani cure usually last over a week without any chips. The place gets busy so it's best to call ahead. They clean everything after each use and don't hurt you when they file and clip your nails( i can't say this for other places). Everyone who works there is good and they only speak in english to each other. Pros: still the best! more

I just want to say to all the people who found it too expensive and don't see the difference between this salon and a regular chop shop- go ahead go to those cheap places and get your cuticles mutilated, get yourself a fungus and a staff infection. I bet you - doctor's bill will cost you more than $40 per month! more

I work for a local non-profit that serves children in Georgia's foster care system (Creative Community Services). In November ""Polished"" donated their services and treated our girls to their own spa party. The owner and nail technicians were extremely friendly and welcomed our girls with open arms. They went above and beyond to create an inviting, fun, and relaxing atmosphere. Our young ladies were treated to mani/pedis while sipping on juice and enjoying delicious snacks. Teens in foster care are not often given experiences like the one the ladies at Polished provided. Our girls left with individual goody bags, awesome nails, and most importantly, feeling refreshed and pampered! Pros: Excellent service, clean environment, fun and trendy atmosphere more

I just had a spa party last evening at Polished and I have to say that I had the best time ever! It was for my 30th birthday and the nail techs did a great job and were so nice and funny! The owner was incredibly accommodating and gracious as we had them working until 10pm and no one even seem to mind at all...Ladies if you and your girls want to get together and do something fun and relaxing, definitely go to Polished!!! more

Well, where do i begin. let me start off by saying the decor is beautiful, thats what the one star is for. This was my first time here and a friend reccomended polished to me she told me to ask for a technician by the name of Candice who they said would be there when i scheduled my appointment and wasnt there when i got there. someone else performed my services, which to me, were long and drawn out... not relaxing< more like aggravating because two other people were started after me and the still left more than a half hour before i did. i was there for two hours, only to get a basic manicure, and a basic pedicure ($40). it seemed like the technician didnt know what she was doing. very unorganized. Between the phone ringing and the nail tech taking forever to do a simple pedicure and manicure, i was uneasy and on edge by the time i left. on top of the fact that i could have done a better job myself. OH YEAH, im not exactly sure if this was the owner, but the person who seemed to be in charge was rude and only spoke to i guess frequent clientel (because she knew them by name), She never even asked me if i enjoyed my services . ive been much happier at less prettier places. take it from me, if you wanna splurge on a mani pedi, do it at a REAL spa, because this is merely your everyday nail shop in disguise. I was given a gift certificate for a mani/pedi to Polished and decided to finally see what this place was all about. Upon walking into the salon I was pleasantly surprised. It is very pleasing to the eye. It would be a great place for a girl's day celebration. Fortunately, I called ahead to find out if they took walk-ins, and found out that I had to make an appointment. I was told the services I received would take about an hour and a half and they were right on target. ""Pinkie"" performed both my mani and pedi and I loved it and her service. Let's see how long it lasts. This is a great place to get your nails serviced if you live in the area and plan your schedule in advance. The only negative experience I had was when the owner walked in. She rarely smiled ( in fact almost looked upset) the entire time, and did not greet me. She only spoke to what I assume were ""regular"" customers. I've decided that I will only return for special occasions. There's no need to pay THAT MUCH for a mani/pedi on a regular basis.
