PoleStar Rocks 8/14/2012

A friend recommended Polestar (the company they used) when my air conditioning in my house went out after a long heat wave. I had a checkup from another company a few weeks earlier and all of a sudden my air conditioning went bad so I wanted a second opinion. Polestar came the next day, discussed the quote I received from the other company, offered better equipment at the same price and installed my new unit within a few days. The technicians were very knowledgeable and had my house cool within hours. I am excited to find a service company that I feel I can trust. Thank you again for your help! more

Happy Customer 8/7/2012

I've been a Polestar client for many years. They have replaced my heat pump, hot water heater, and sump pump along with replacing several facets and repairing major plumbing issues. The guys are always friendly, prompt, knowledgeable and trustworthy. When I call, I always get immediate service. I can confidently say you will not go wrong with their service. more

We have used Polestar for several years for our AC/Heating service. This summer when out AC went out in the middle of 108 degree weather, they were there that day and had it all replaced within 24 hours. The offered 3 very fair and reasonable options for both AC and furnace with discounts, rebates, service plan and financing options. They were prompt in coming back out to make sure things were working properly. They are a great, efficient and friendly company! more

Polestar replaced our a/c units this summer. What a class act!! From putting covers on their shoes everytime they walked in the house, to replacing our units without me being bothered, to coming out once the units were replaced to make sure I was pleased. And the biggest plus was the price. Thanks Polestar! more

Ac quits in the middle of heat wave. 7/19/2012

We have used Polestar Plumbing since we bought our house back in 2009. We have continued to use them for all of our hvac, and plumbing needs. The latest was the death of our ac. They were out and fixed it that day. When it is 103 degrees outside I needed them to do this fast and they got it done. Thanks Polestar. more

We have used Polestar Plumbing for about 20 years and have always found them reliable. On a recent visit, Mark make the remark to us that he didn't need to ask us how to get to our basement when he came into our home. We trusted them to do some work for us while we on vacation one time. more

Great Service!! 7/16/2012

We have gotten service from Polestar for a few years for AC/Furnance maintenance, replacing hotwater heater and sump pump. This spring's maintenance technician told us that our AC/Furnace was getting close to the end of its life and might require replacement soon. Sure enough about 10 days ago the AC failed. I called them around 7:30 PM Friday and the technician came the following morning just after 8 AM. He explained what was wrong with the AC and the replacement was what we had to do. Within an hour the sales guy called with the proposal and we had the new AC/Furnance installed by 3 PM that afternoon, within 24 hours of contacting them. The price was a bit higher than we expected but their service was excellent. A week later another technician came to make sure everything was installed properly. They all are service-oriented and friendly. I would recommend them to our friends and neighbors. more

I have worked with Polestar since we moved into the KC area back in 1994. They were recommended by a neighbor who said " I just leave the house unlocked if I won't be home when Polestar is scheduled to come out". That's who I wanted, a trustworthy company to do work in my home.... We have been in 3 homes since that time and they have done all the work for us. They have been great in emergency situations as well as the general maintenance on ac/heating and plumbing. There have been several times during the heat of summer or the bitter cold of winter that I needed help with equipment asap. They do their very best to get out that same day, if humanly possible. Their prices are very fair and reasonable. All the technicians are extremely knowledgeable. You can't go wrong with Polestar..... more

We used Polestar last year when our AC wasn't cooling our home properly. At that time they replaced 2 different parts and installed a hard start kit, and this cost us nearly $600. This year when we were having problems again with the house not cooling properly, we called Polestar again. This time we had freon leaks and they recommended we replace the AC system. We ended up replacing the furnace too since both systems were the same age, but we were pleasantly surprised when they offered to "buy back" the parts they installed last year and deducted the $600 from the total of the new units. They were able to get the new system installed the same day (worked from 3pm til just after 8pm). We noticed some vibration coming from the system in the room above it, but Mike was able to adjust something and now the vibration is 90% better. All in all we've been happy with the service we've received from Polestar. more

I had a leak on an A-coil that turned into a total system replacement. Polestar came out the next day, diagnosed the problem, and gave me a bid. After shopping around, I went with Polestar and the were out the day after to do the job. I was so satisfied I used them to replace a rental unit?s AC two weeks later! more

Choosing a plumber can be a hit or miss proposition. I was extremely fortunate to discover Polestar Plumbing when I bought my house six years ago. Since then, I have turned to Polestar many times (two air conditioning units, one furnace, a sump pump, and a couple new faucets). I have found them to be knowledgeable, dependable and responsive. When one of the air conditioners that I bought from them wasn't performing to my expectations, Polestar did the right thing and replaced the entire unit. To make sure that all of my units keep functioning efficiently, I have a Polestar service contract that entitles me to two ""check-ups"" each year, free service call and a discount on parts. I highly recommend them. more

Professional Beyond Belief! 5/13/2012

We have nothing but praise for Polestar Plumbing Inc.! We called them to repair our bedroom shower and below kitchen ceiling after experiencing a major overflow and leak. The need was immediate since out of town guests would be arriving soon. We were told to ask for Dennis Helm and found him to be very prompt and professional. Not only did he replace the shower valve and shower drain in record time, but he was very helpful to educate us for the future. After leaving, my husband gave Polestar the Big Thumbs Up......vowing to recommend them to everyone!! more

Reliable, Fast and Like Family..... 5/9/2012

Polestar was recommended to us by our realtor when we bought our house in 2009. Unfortunately over the last few years we've had to make some major repairs and purchases to get the house back in safe and comfortable shape. Polestar has been there every step of the way. They explain everything to us thoroughly, show up at a moment's notice, cut us deals when they can, and will spend extra time on the phone with us when we need to follow up with questions we hadn't thought of earlier. These guys are like family to us now, and we highly recommend them to everyone !! more

Hands Down The Best! 4/25/2012

I've used Pole Star for routine maintenance on my ac and furnace for years. They are the most polite and professional people I've ever dealt with in the industry. This time I came down stairs at 7:30 am to hear a strange noise which happened to be my ac unit. Upon calling Pole Star, they were our extremely fast. The ac unit was fried and I needed a new one. Upon talking with Jon, you feel very comfortable. I don't know the first thing about ac units, and when you ask them questions they will shoot you honest answers with your personal best interest in mind. In fact, I mentioned possibly buying a ""bigger"" more expensive unit and was talked out of it. They simply said ""if it was my house and I had to put a new unit in, I wouldn't put the bigger unit in.....there is a such thing as too large of a unit for a house"". If you choose not to use Pole Star for any ac or plumbing need, you've made a mistake! more

Polstar Plumbing Heating and Air Conditioning 4/2/2012

I have been a customer of Polestar Plumbing Heating and Air Conditioning for several years and each year have been impressed with their timelyness and consistenly good service. Recently I heard disturbing noises in my air conditioner and called them immediately. They were at my house within 30 minutes and upon determining I needed a new air conditioner ( there was not any question because of the age of the air conditioner) they immediately installed one. I didn't need to make another service call for them to come out and do that. It was done immediately.They could not have been more polite and neat with the service. My questions were all answered to my satisfaction. I am grateful for such fine service and will most certainly continue to use them in the future., more

Polestar Plumbing, Inc. 3/27/2012

We have recently had Polestar install a heat pump, as well as a power humidifier in our home. They also replaced the coil inside the furnace. Not only was the experience wonderful, but, Jon, the systems consultant was fabulous! From the beginning the entire staff was courteous and very helpful. Jon came to our home and was very honest and knowledgeable in what he would recommend for our size and year of home. The technicians who did the install were very friendly and walked us through each step of what they would be doing. The heat pump works phenomenally, and Polestar backs up their products with a great warranty. Their service plans are very reasonable, and overall, I believe we made a solid investment by choosing Polestar. They went above and beyond on many small things related to the install (i.e. aesthetic aspects.) Their customer service is outstanding. I would definitely recommend Jon and Polestar to anyone looking to have work done on their HVAC! more

Very pleased 3/15/2012

We had no prior experience with Polestar and requested a bid from them and two other companies for a new furnace and A/C unit. I heard of Polestar via the ValPak and knew nothing about them. We were very impressed with Jon's knowledge and ability to answer questions in layman's terms. He was very patient with all of our questions and was by far the best and most experienced person we had who provided bids. Polestar's bid actually came in very, very competetively and let us know they wanted our business. Joh also burned around our bid for us very quickly upon our request as we were wanting to make a decision fast. Their explanation and teaching regarding the new system was very good and their follow up and service plan can't be beat. I highly recommend them! more

Plumbing Heating & Cooling! 2/27/2012

I recently experienced a water line break in my house and called Polestar Plumbing Heating & AC at 6am. I spoke to a representative who answers the phones during non-business hours. I received a callback within a couple of minutes from the owner, Mark that someone would be out at the house within a couple of hours. I had the problem fixed and after looking at my current situation, I made some additions so that future problems would be less likely with the help of Mark and his team. I have called Polestar in the past regarding problems with my heating and cooling and they have always been there for me when I really needed some help. The work they do is top notch and the service is excellent. more
