Great Deal I heard about Plaza from one of their Ads in one of the magazines. I was looking to get my wife a 5ct Round Diamond ring. They showed me one in beautiful quality that appraised for $125,000.00 which I purchased for $45,000.00. My name is Nelson, I was recommended to Plaza by a friend. I came in looking to purchase men?s Rolex diamond presidential watch and trade in my old stainless steel sport model. After spending a little time with two of the sales people both of which were helpful and very knowledgeable. They made me an offer that I could not refuse and I purchased the gold Rolex presidential watch with diamonds that I wanted for myself and trade in my old stainless steel sport model plus they gave me a lady's gold diamond presidential watch for my wife. My name is Mathew. My father turned 70 recently and I wanted to make a special gift for him. He used to have a Rolex watch that was stolen from him a year ago. I new he loved the watch a lot and couldn?t find anything to replace it. The watch was old and it was hard for me to find the same one. Likely, my friend told me that they were in Plaza recently and it was an amazing choice of antique watches there. I was able to find the watch that was very similar to the one my father used to have, except the color of the strap was different, but the salesperson told me that they will be able the replace the strap on anyone I like and also advised to make an engraving on the back of the watch. What a great idea! I picked the watch with a new strap and engraving in 2 days. The watch looked perfect. My father loved the present. more

They provide Appraisals, buy sell, repair, trade in, coins, stamps, watches, pocket watches jewelry, sport items, appraiser Wall street Journal, rated #1 Time out New York, etc. These guys are great. The other guy at the end of the street had a wait time of 4 days for my Rolex repair and battery change. These guys did it in 1 hour and the watch was handed over to me. While I was waiting Lee the owner used his salesmanship and sold me an additional Patek Philippe which I was looking for at different places and online but it was not available....He had it right there....Impeccable service.....great guys to do business with. more

There is a lot of sports collection, including base ball cards, base ball autographed by players and boxing gloves signed by 'MOHAMMAD ALI AND RICKY""- Which were on display . i was having a quiet good time there watching those stuff.? They have the largest selection of watches I have ever seen! They say they have over 20,000 watches and if you look around you will believe it. I looked around for about 1 hour. I came back the next day and bought a Breitling and a Patek Phillipe watch. The price I figured was about half the retail price which was really fair. While I was there, the place was really busy, they were buying and selling everything! The purchased an Andy Warhol painting and a signed Babe Ruth baseball. They also sold and Abraham Lincoln letter and appraised a collection of original World Series rings! One of the other clients was saying he was there when James Bond (Daniel Craig) bought a couple of watches there a few weeks ago!! It's really a wild place and sometimes crazy busy, but you will always get a really good deal. They also buy anything and I thing they pay very fair prices. Overall I would state the following: The selection is the largest in the world. The prices are excellent. The place especially when crowed is a little small. The items are not that organized. The experts are sometimes busy, but when available will answer any questions you will have. They do go out of their way to try to make you happy. Largest Selection of Watches Ever - 30 years of experience!!! They said the have over 25,000 watches!! and if you look around you believe them!! I looked at their Omega watches. They showed me over 1,000 Omega watches!! Do you understand, over 1,000 just Omega watches! I didn't there are that many in the whole New York City! They has styles and models I never new ever existed! They were all in perfect condition including many old ones from the 1920's. Everything they sell is guaranteed. Their prices are quite good and they buy and take trade ins. They also have an expert appraiser on staff. I bought and Omega and a vintage Rolex for less the expected to pay just for the Omega!! I often listen to the radio and I heard the Plaza Galleries commercial The commercial states that Plaza will make an offer on anything valuable and in some instances pay high cash for valuable items, ANYTHING VALUABLE, and they come to your home to appraise the items. Back in the beginning of August, I telephoned Plaza and spoke to Mr. Rosenbloom, the owner and gave him an idea of what I had to sell to them. He said he would get in touch with his appraiser and made an appointment for Lou (appraiser) to come to my house the same day I called Plaza. Lou took photos of all the items I had that could be worth something. I didn't know that there was a $100 fee for appraisal in my home, so I gladly gave him a check for the appraisal and Lou said it would take about 5-6 days to appraise and get back to me. Two weeks went by without a phone call, until I called Plaza to find out Lou was out of the office Lou called me after 2 weeks of waiting for a response. Lou said that my items were worth something each separately. What got my attention was what he said next, that in order for Plaza to make me an offer my items have to be sold to people who were interested and then pay me. One item which is a set of Hungarian Crystal glass set could not be researched since nothing could be found on it, and yet I found the stemware on the internet without a problem. They are liars since they don?t live up to what the commercial states. I asked for the return of my check and was told by one of the receptionists that the check was presented to the bank for deposit and that they couldn?t send me back the check. I got in touch with the bank and they told me that the check was NEVER DEPOSITED and that a STOP PAMENT was applied. To add insult to injury, they lied to me when I called them about returning my check. I WOULD NEVER EVER DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY AGAIN...They are liars and the only thing they got from me was NOTHING. The trip to my house was for nothing and now I have to sell my items by other means. Anyone reading this review, please think first before endeavoring to do business with this outfit. more
