a DREADFUL, OFFENSIVE, and SCANDALOUS experience in Parisian Salon Day Spa 12/2/2010

It was supposed to be an exciting experience for me tonight since I expected a salon this size which charges 50 dollars for a haircut SHOULD have at least 5 STARS of (SERVICE AND SKILLS)…BUT it turned out to be a DREADFUL, OFFENSIVE, and SCANDALOUS experience and all I WANTED was a SIMPLE TRIM on my hair…here is what happened\r \r 1) The lady who washed my hair let the water run into BOTH of my ears CONSTANTLY…(I actually had to ask for tissues when she was done to get the water out of my ears)\r 2) The hairstylist used at least 3 different products to put on my hair…the only problem was…his hand was greasy because of the products and every time he put the stuff on my hair his finger lightly touched my face (which is very unusual) so not only was my hair greasy, my face was too!! \r 3) The receptionist called and left a message saying she ACCIDENTLY UNDER CHARGE D me 50 dollars and now she wants my credit card number again so she can OVER CHARGE me 100 dollars…..HUH?!?! Best full service salon in Middlesex county 9/3/2009

I have been a customer since 2004 and have had multiple hair cuts, color, highlights, massage, facials, waxing, manicures and pedicures. So I feel I can give an honest opinion about these services. My hair stylist is one of Parisian's color specialists and it shows. She does a wonderful, professional job. She keeps educated on latest techniques and products, attending conferences several times per year. She actually listens to what I want to do as far as style. I have yet to have a bad haircut or color. The massages are among the best I have ever had. And I speak from much experience, as I have had many massages from many places in CT as well as other surrounding towns at very high end spas. The massage rooms are relaxing and the massage therapists are very talented and professional. Their facials are excellent! I get my brows waxed and will not go anywhere else ever! I have had "botched" jobs before but never here. The salon is very clean and tastefully decorated. I have read the negative feedback and agree that it can get a bit crowded in the front reception area, however, I have never had to stand for lack of places to sit ( and I usually go at prime time for business). They do an amazing amount of business and this does result in alot of traffic. Also, I have never been treated rudely. The staff, from the front desk receptionists to the stylists to the owner have always been quite friendly and accomidating. I am always offered wine, water, soda etc. during any service that is lengthly. They have even offered me food because they knew I had come from work and would not eat until quite late! I came there as a customer not knowing anyone personally; these are just nice people. This is not a salon that leaves you with the impression that the staff are stuck up and snobby as I have experienced at other places. As far as some of the negative comments about manicures/ pedicures, I feel they do a fine job but that it not their forte. Yes, the girls there (in mani/pedi area) can be too open with their conversation at times. However, many of the Asian nail salons have technicians that also talk a mile a minute, do not speak English, and for all I know are having the most inappropriate work conversation around, but I can't understand them. I have not heard one inappropriate word from any other part of this salon aside from mani/pedi, which is isolated from the other areas. The prices for hair can be steep but I feel you get what you pay for. Other services (massage, facials, waxing) are right on target with pricing; competitive. They even offer specials at certain times of the year. All in all, this is a top notch place with dedicated, professional staff who take pride in their work. Pros: Very best Hair, Massage, Facials and Waxing. Cons: Mani /Pedi's Average more

Awful! And wouldn't make right after mistakes! 8/15/2009

I had a manicure while my niece had her hair done. The manicurist openly discussed her personal life, her partying, how drunk she was last nite, etc. EWW! Pros: None Cons: Crowded, rude, expensive more

over priced and under serviced 1/31/2009

I live right down the street and have visited their web site so I was excited about trying out the various spa experiences. I've gotten 2 hair cuts, had my eyebrows/lip waxed a few times, and have now gotten a manicure. The first time I went there I was a little taken aback by how cramped and crowded the front area is. The layout doesn't seem to be very efficient, and it's easy to bump into people because there isn't a lot of room to move around. My first hair cut was beautiful, but the woman who cut my hair wasn't very friendly. She didn't make much of an effort to talk to me, so I felt awkward and uncomfortable. The second time I went in for a cut, I decided to try a different stylist. She was much nicer, but I wasn't as happy with the cut as I was the first time. I was still annoyed with the crowded layout, but tried to look past it. My waxings were probably the best I'd ever had as far as quality. They were thorough and did a beautiful job. My manicure today though is the last straw, and I will never go back. The manicure area is too small, and the three techs did nothing but gossip while I was worked on. I asked for parrafin with my manicure, and the tech seemed inconvenienced by this. I expected a parrafin dip, which I've had many times in the past. What I got was some cheap wax mittens that heated up, which was then rubbed into my hands as if it were lotion. I paid $30 for the worst manicure I've ever gotten. The atmosphere is far from relaxing, and I won't be going back. Too much is crammed into a small space, it's impossible to feel like you're in a spa. Pros: convenient location Cons: horrible parking, over priced, terrible customer service more

Overpriced Salon with Inexperienced Stylists 1/1/2009

The worst color and styling I have ever had. Also, would not agree to fix the mistake without additional charge. Horrible experience. more

First Massage -- A Wonderful Experience 12/8/2008

I admit, I was a little nervous -- I had never had a professional massage before. My nervousness dissipated the moment I stepped foot inside the spa. The staff was warm and welcoming, the service was prompt and the atmosphere was relaxing and inviting. Pros: Friendly staff, warm enviornment, prompt service, welcoming atmosphere, Carl's hands Cons: $$$ more

Best spa in the Area 8/19/2008

I was very pleased with this place! I got a GC there and had a day there. The place was very nicely decorated, and was greated with a smile and shown to the changing room to put on a cozy warm rob and slippers. I First had a facial by Elicia that was out of this world! I've had tons of facials and this was the best by far! Then I had a massage by Lisa and she was just as wonderful! The rooms were so nicely done up with no cheap furniture. The lighting and the music was just great. The best part was they didn't talk threw the whole thing which I always seem to get those people. They both said it's your day to relax, and that's what were going to give you. Then I had a delightful lunch, which they catered to me with drinks. They have a wide range of great top scale beverages which I was amazed by. Then I got a Pedicure by Sherri that was again the best pedicure i have ever had! She had such a great touch. The pedicure chairs are so awsome too, I'm used to these cheap chairs or buckets these "day spa's" buy for there clients. I paid extra to get a full set of nails for my vacation by sherri and she did an awsome job! I couldn't stop looking at them after she did them, and even got tons of complments on my cruise by people. The best part too, was they didn't chip, and they looked so natural. The good part to was they have envelopes to give tips in which you put in a box, and I thought that was professional done too. I just love this place and will be coming back just to this place. After 12 years of trying so many different places I finally found one that uses top of the line products, and has top of the line staff. They just offer so much, it's a one stop place. Next will be my hair, let you know how that was. Pros: very professional, top of the line products, very clean! Cons: wish I had more $ on my GC from my husband. more
