Best

The P.F. Chang's is a great place for authentic Chinese food. Their menu is always wonderful and full of lip-smacking delicacies.

Worst

I agree with the other reviewer who noted that P.F. Chang's is directed mostly towards the Western palate. It may be well prepared but is certainly not what an Asian person would ...

CLW! 10/19/2011

Chicken lettuce wraps are the bomb! Excellent and I think they might be good for you. more

My Favorite Restaurant! 6/28/2011

This restaurant is my fave! Try the jasmine green iced tea and the Mongolian Beef. Scrumptious! more

Still bustling 4/23/2011

Even though PF Changs is a chain, it's still filling up the parking lots at Highland Village. You can always be guaranteed to meet a STRANGEr at the bar while you are waiting for a table. I think it's a great place to take people who think lettuce wraps are an adventure. Don't get me wrong, they are good...so is McDonalds. more

Good 4/5/2011

I've visited this location twice and we (party of 3) enjoyed ourselves. There is a trendy and inviting setting and the waitstaff was attentive. The wine selections are assorted by taste which helps those who may not be familiar with it. The food was brough out fairly quickly in pretty large portions, and the prices are moderate. This location can be a little loud for a date, however is great just for a nice group dinner. BE SURE TO MAKE RESERVATIONS. Without reservations, you wait can easily be up to an hour. And I enjoy their lettuce wraps and DanDan noodles. more

Good FOOD! 3/8/2011

It's one of my favorite place to go whenever I crave for some asian food. It isn't too authentic, just right for my taste. The ambiance is pretty comfortable, and the staff are very helpful. My favorite is their crispy honey chicken, and their wonton soup! yum! The only down side is that, it gets pretty pack on the weekend, and they don't really take any reservations in this area. So if you have a date, and want it to be a romantic and quiet one, you might want to find another place to go. It is good to go on the weekdays though! :) more

DISCRIMINATION 7/8/2010

Yesterday I had a disgusting DISCRIMINATION experience in your restaurant located in Highland Village Center 4094 Westheimer Road Houston, TX 77027, it is really disappointed that in a restaurant like P.F. Chang's China Bistro things like this happen, with reservation number, the hostess in the front door make me wait for more that 45 min without any explanations, I saw many tables available and I saw how white people and African American was serving genteelly and immediately, and without reservation, I asking many times to those girls in the front door what was happening and they never answer me and look at me and speak to me like a homeless or a delinquent, after 45 minutes me and my dinner mates was sitting down in a rough and discourteous monde, they basically thought the menus over the table as well as the food, I just stay at this place because Is one of my favorites restaurants and because was my brothers birthday and we don?t have any place to go at that time, I was thinking in speak with my lawyer to contact some restaurant representative to submit a formally claim, I am project manager at KBR Engineering, A professional person and proud to be an Immigrant, is disgusting that this incidents happens in this kind of place, just because I have accent or look different, I always dress properly, and never in my life and in any place around the work have received a treatment like that, I hope you take the proper measuring to fix that situation Pros: N/A more

Bad food, regular service, way overrated 7/19/2009

So many friends told us how great this place was, so we went yesterday. There is always a 30-45min wait. Tables are VERY small, the menu offers an American version of common Asian dishes. I ordered the VIP duck: poultry was raw (a big NO), and came with tortilla shells?? (instead of the common flatbread). My wife got THE salmon plate, completely unremarkable. Suposedly these were among their bests. Pros: Location, accessible parking, reasonable prices Cons: Loud, food was tasteless more

Service leaves you unhappy 1/25/2009

i am a big fan of the PF Changs chain, but seroiusly, this location is managed by very uncapable people. Last time i went there (sunday, late luch) I saw people waiting to gt a seat although half of the restaurant was empty. When we got our table, nobody came to take our order for about 15 minutes, and then we had three different waiters, who of course asked us the same questions over and over again. Pros: Delicious food Cons: Good luck ordering it. more

GREAT place! 12/26/2008

One of my favorite restaurants in Houston! I always get the sweet and sour chicken and my boyfriend gets chang's spice chicken. Both are excellent. Everything is good here, right down to the rice (I prefer brown) and the ""special sauce"" made at your table. For dessert, the banana spring rolls and the flourless chocolate dome are TO DIE FOR. 2 drinks, 2 entrees, & 1 dessert totals around $38 and it is well worth it. I've NEVER had poor service OR food here. more

P.F. Changs 2/28/2007

The food and atmosphere at this restaurant are definitely worth the wait. They now offer reservations, so you don't have to wait if you plan in advance. Also, there are great places to shop within steps if you do have to wait. The food is always fresh, and there are so many options to choose from. We love going there and never have any complaints. Pros: Food & location more

good atmosphere, great food 11/25/2006

i just recently ate at p.f. changs and i absolutely loved it. we had the chicken lettuce wraps and mongolian beef. i usually dont like chinese style beef, but this was the best chinese food i have ever eaten hands down. the atmosphere is good, kinda loud, but then again...you cant hear any screaming children or loud obnoxious diners. the best part about that is that they cant hear you and it doesnt have to be a silent meal. the service was excellent. everything about it was wonderful. Pros: the delicious food and relatively quick service Cons: the hour wait and the prices more

Very loud but good food. 11/21/2006

I have eaten here many times and most recently for someone's birthday lunch which they did put us in the back which was less congested and noisy but it was difficult to talk at the long table for eight. The waiter was very good and attentive and all in all it was a good lunch. Pros: Good food and service Cons: Very crowded and loud. more

Great place 11/18/2006

Our first visit. We usually do not go to Chinese restaurants & decided to check this out while were shopping in the area. It was worth the wait. We really enjoyed our meal and plan to visit the one in our area. more

50-50 kind of place. 11/13/2006

I have had mixed experiences here. Generally it's crowded and the hostesses are rude to my party. You should also go there expecting to wait anywhere between 20-60 min for your table! I've had good service and bad at the table, ranging from a standoffish waitress who barely made herself available, to a passing by waiter who noticed me looking at a stain on my shirt and came by with a glass of club soda and a napkin! As for the food, it has a clean appearance, and is very fresh and hot. Its also pretty salty, and leaves me feeling dessicated for the remainder of the day. Generally, the dishes are pretty tasty. However, you can expect to pay a bit more than you would at the average Chinese restaurant. I think what you're paying for is the atmosphere (well designed and nicely decorated, but busy) and the presentation (the food looks and tastes more appetizing than the usual Chinese restaurant food, but its not traditional, hearty, or comforting like many other places). Overall, go there if you like. It's not the only flashy bistro restaurant in town, though, and not necessarily the best. Pros: Appetizing food, served hot, nice setting Cons: Busy, pricey, rude hostesses more

not a good place for those looking just for a meal 9/19/2006

i always see people ranting about places that are not meant to just serve you food. think of the location and atmosphere. it is a tredy spot! and a fun one at that. the lucky cat martini is very good. interesting people to talk to Pros: location!! cocktails, scene Cons: waiting for a table more

The Worst High-Priced Chinese Food in Houston 6/23/2006

If you want the worst Chinese food in Houston for the highest price, this place is for you. Don't go to this place if you are hungry either, the entrees should be advertized as children meals or snacks. The spices are nothing to get excited about either. And if you expect this place to honor a reservation for a party of 20, forget it. Office mates and myself arrive 5 minutes prior to 12 noon only to find out the place let another party take our table. So our party of 20 waits for 35 minutes. Do yourself a favor and eat somewhere else. P.F Chiang's is a rip-off with below average meals from somewhere around $13 - 19. The extremely small portions wouldn't be a bother if the food was even close to edible. Pros: nothing Cons: bad service, bad food, high prices more

Good food, but not authentic. 2/22/2006

Does it really matter if it's not authentic as long as the foods good; your buying a meal not a painting or an antique. The food is more fusion than Chinese and sometimes the service is not great. But the quality of the food is great, highlights on the menu include Mongolian Beef and the Salt & Pepper Prawns. There is also a good bar while you wait to get a seat, which can sometimes be quite a while. Pros: food, location, bar Cons: authenticity, queues, service more

Poor Service Good Food 12/28/2005

If you don't mind waiting 20 minutes for your waiter to appear this is a nice place to eat. The food was good and ambience was nice but the service was terrible. After we were seated we waited, and waited and waited for a waiter. Finally, after 20 minutes of waiting we had to go find a waiter on our own to take our order. Once we had our food the waiter once again vanished. The meal was quite good however. Pros: Food, Ambience Cons: Service more
