Best

The P.F. Chang's is a great place for authentic Chinese food. Their menu is always wonderful and full of lip-smacking delicacies.

Worst

I agree with the other reviewer who noted that P.F. Chang's is directed mostly towards the Western palate. It may be well prepared but is certainly not what an Asian person would ...

Way over rated 11/4/2005

I visited the place twice and both times the service was poor. The moo shui pork had very little pork. Some of the dishes were too spicey hot to eat. The prices are too high for what you get. Pros: good drink list, good selection Cons: poor service, overpriced, not authentic more

Yum-Yim 6/3/2005

I love there Northern Chinese Rubs and spicy chicken. I normally go with several girlfriends that love the place. In fact, I am going for my birthday on Sunday. Kudos to PF Changs. Delicious is the word for them. more

not real chinese food!! 4/4/2005

it's the worst feeling when you hear someone say they had the best chinese food at PF Changs- because it's not real chinese food! on top of that- it's overpriced!! no real chinese restaurant has such a trendy atmosphere like PF changs! Cons: price, not authentic more

Only CLEAN Chinese restaurant I have ever been to 3/15/2005

It may not have authentic Chinese food but it is great none the less. I like PF Chang's because for one it is clean. I don't have any fear about eating their food as I do with so many other Chinese restaurants that are so unclean and questionable. PF Chang's has great food, great flavored ice tea, great atmosphere, great service and the cleanliness gives me peace of mind. Pros: great food, great atmosphere Cons: wait time more

This is not Chinese Food!! 6/9/2004

This is not a Chinese restaurant. They serve food that's mixed of Chinese, American and Franch. I think it is a hip, fancy restaurant, a noisy place, but not Chinese. If it is categorized as a fusion restaurant, I think it is an above average place to go. If you think you have enjoyed some good Chinese food there, you DO NOT know Chinese. Try some places near Bellaire Blvd and Beltway 8. That's where the China Town is. Cons: , long wait, noisy more

you've got to be kidding! 9/5/2003

I was excited to finally get into this place and was very sorry. Though the decor is nice the food was fair at best. The chicken packages were good but the duck salad was dry and had a strange twang to it that was very unpleasant. If you want to be 'seen' come here. If you want really good chinese food go to Kim Son or anywhere in the Hong Kong Mall area. Also, the waiter treated us like it was our privilege to be served by him! Expensive and pretentious. I won't be going back! Pros: nice decorations Cons: too expensive, fair food, snooty wait staff more

P.F. Chang's 8/8/2003

Great food! Awesome! the atmosphere is great aswell as the food. Highly recommended! Potstickers (dumplings) are the BEST!! Pros: Inexpensive, Great atmosphere Cons: always crowded more

So not Chinese... 7/9/2003

This place is way overrated. I was dining at a P.F Chang's in Dallas and the food was not really Chinese food. Needlesstosay I was very disappointed in the quality and lack of flavor. This place is made for the typical American that has never had real Chinese food and therefore thinks that is must be wonderful. I can understand the Chinese-American fusion of cuisine and I can say that it is nowhere to be found. The ambience was average and is probably the only thing this place has going for it along with its hype. I wouldn't waste my money or time waiting for a table at this establishment again. Put it this way, the food at a local Chinese buffet is better than what they serve up. It was very disappointing. Pros: ambience, price Cons: crowded, bad food, loud more

P.F. Chang's Our Favorite Dinner Spot 5/12/2003

My husband, family and friends always enjoy an evening out at P.F. Chang's. We find everything about it (with the exception that it's a little loud) very enjoyable! We highly recommend it for lunch or dinner. more

Great food, but a little loud 3/6/2003

The first thing you notice when arriving is the great trendy decor that fills the resturant. Seating is relatively quick, especially on week nights. The food is wonderful; I especially suggest that you try the Mongolian Beef. The only draw-backs are that they place is pretty noisy and packed. You may have to wait to get your waiter's attention after you've been served your meal, as they are quite busy. It took quite a bit of effort to pay for dinner and get my check in return. Overall, I highly recommend P.F. Chang's as a great place to go for two, four, or more! Pros: Trendy,, Great Food,, Atmosphere Cons: Noisy, Sporadic Service more

overrated 2/24/2003

The only thing good here in my opinion are the lettuce wraps. Cons: overpriced, overrated more

The BEST in American/Chinese 2/22/2003

I just had to voice my opinion on PF Changs. This place knows what the average American wants when he/she goes looking for excelent chinese food. This place has it all, great food, great ambiance, great location and great service. Kudo's for a job and food well done!! Pros: FOOD is the BEST, Service is GREAT!, Bar is very nice too! Cons: 2 hours wait..ALWAYS more

not worth it 1/17/2003

p.f chang's is over rated. you have foolish people just paying for the name. i was very disappointed. total waste of money and time. Pros: none, none, none Cons: waiting, waiting, waiting more

Nice outing 1/13/2003

The manager asked if we wanted to set at bar after we had waited a short time. This was a very nice experince as the server was a blast and mixed a mean sauce for the great lettuce wraps. Pros: Nice Manager, Good Food, Excelent service Cons: Bad Parking, Expensive, Crowded more

You must be kidding! 1/10/2003

Excellent service! The atmosphere was very nice. All the right pompous people were there. Who could ask for more? Oh, but wait. The food was horrible! I had the Beef with Orange flavor. It tasted more like meat strips in ketchup. I've heard of this place for a few years now. Honestly, I have no idea why. Pros: Nice staff, Nice atmoshere, Good location Cons: Horrible food more

Fantastic 1/7/2003

Food is great and worth the wait! Next time will get there early. Cons: parking more

Great Food 12/30/2002

Chang's serves great food. It's not necessarily ""chinese food,"" it's more like nouve chinese or chinese lite. But still it's great food. Light and fresh, not heavy and sauce staurated. If you want authentic chinese go to china town on Bellaire Blvd., there you'll get the real stuff. At Chang's you get a wonderful americanize version of chinese that fits into the ""healther"" of today's diets. Keep up the good work. Pros: Food, Food, Food Cons: Wait, Wait, Wait more

so-so 12/27/2002

I agree with the other reviewer who noted that P.F. Chang's is directed mostly towards the Western palate. It may be well prepared but is certainly not what an Asian person would consider good Chinese food (I've never seen lettuce wraps in China). Pros: good people watching Cons: not authentic, over priced more

refreshing 12/19/2002

The food is great, the atmosphere is fun. The main problem is that you have to be prepared for at least and hour wait. more

Trendy and tasteful 11/23/2002

This is a great restaurant not only to stand around and have a few drinks -there's always a good crowd, but the food is well presented and very tasty. Some might say the food is not really Chinese, I would call it Noveau Chinese, but in whichever case it's excellent!! Pros: Good crowd, Good bar, Great ambience Cons: Long wait to sit more
